Hi Amber! I love the simplicity of your routine, and it inspired me to also check in with Jesus halfway through the day. My goal this year is to keep my eyes on Jesus all the time, to put him at the forefront of my mind, so doing your examination of conscience in the middle of the day, plus the act of contrition and recommitment to Jesus are truly powerful in my opinion. With the new year coming, I’ll be working on my new prayer routine as well for the new year. And here as follows. 1. Divine Office, Office of readings and morning prayer. 2. The Holy Rosary 3. A devotion to one of my favorite patron saints, Saint Therese of Lisieux the little flower of God. As for a prayer journal, I have one that I got from my Catholic youth group, Crossroads for Christ aka C4C. I haven’t wrote anything in it yet. I was going to write in it on the beginning of the Advent season but I haven’t yet. But hopefully once the New year starts, that’s when I’ll begin writing in it.

This video is great!! I got some good nuggets from it. This morning in Mass, I was thinking I need to make some extra time out of my daily prayer routine to do some more praying and/or meditation. What I love is this helped me think about how I can do this throughout the day. I also loved your tip on praying before you open your prayer journal. I do that, but I like the prayer you said before you open your prayer journal. I add that in to my existing prayer! This video came at a really good time because I needed this!! Thank you!!
