It's not inflation. It's capitalism pushing the boundaries of how much we will pay. Or so the Geopolitical experts I listen to on here say. Interest rates are down. Inflation is interest rates. Prices we pay is a different end of it all. ❤

Hmmmm....so a fully loaded one with crappy box or a skimpy one with a cool box? Is it weird that I would choose the skimpy one with the cool box that I can reuse? After all, I am an artist and by default that means I have a legit hoard of art supplies so I really don't need the paper and other things.......... That box is kinda awesome tho.

Do you find that Azure marker caps reasonably match the color of the ink in the markers? I'm considering them over Ohuhus because Ohuhu is so bad at having a cap that matches the ink inside. It seems like from the videos I can find of Azure, the color comparison is pretty good. I will still swatch, but looking at the caps and just pulling what feels right is a better experience to me.
@SilverHyenaTV3 ай бұрын
It's hardly a perfect match. This is why I suggest making a swatch sheet. Even highly reputable brands like Ohuhu don't have a good cap/actual color match. I still have another box of Azure's to review (I think) and I'll pay closer attention to that little tidbit.
@KikiAelita3 ай бұрын
@@SilverHyenaTV Ohuhu's is TERRIBLE for this as far as I can see in videos. I tried comparing against some screenshots in your videos of swatch to cap and Azure looked /closer/ at least. I'll see how I feel about them when they arrive as to whether they're close enough. If they're totally off like all the rest, then I guess I should get the brush tips I really want.

Former art teacher here. These definitely hold up better over crayola. Many of the kids in my classes also used to buy the Canadian brand Laurentian. Since retiring I still enjoy drawing and have to say lately that Crayola has declined in quality. Lots of breaking of the led. Prangs sharpen up well and blend much better then crayola.
@SilverHyenaTV3 ай бұрын
I think I need a bigger box of these things. Last time I used Crayola Colored Pencils, those things were breaking like it was going out of style. Still better than Cra-Z-Art, though.

A little bit too thin for a marker paper... :( I like regular printer paper for "color laser printers". It is the most expensive printer paper, but still extremely cheap compared to marker papers. I can prefer the Mondi Copy Color, Clairfontaine DCP and for people in America: Hammermill Premium color Copy. There are several weights available, from 90g to 400g. These printer papers are extremely smooth, perfect for markers and hand lettering.
@SilverHyenaTV4 ай бұрын
It is labeled as "Marker Paper", but I do prefer my marker paper to be thick. I'll have to take a look at the printer/paper section next time I'm out. I've always kept cardstock on hand, but you've got me curious.

Just got them yesterday and I find that they aren't bad and are fun to color with. I really am not finding them scratchy. Colors are vibrant for the price. I like their pink! Larger sets of pencils lack alot of pink. Open stock pink pencils are limited. Bought 2 boxes of these on clearance so I will have pink pencils but am enjoying coloring with the others too. These cheap sets (Cra Z Art too:) seem to have brighter more happy colors than the larger sets I got on Amazon...
