Mine didn't have a cat as far as I know. Some call the stock muffler assembly a cat, and it very well may be, however a cat is usually as close to the exhaust port on the engine as possible. But I'd the stock muffler is the cat, absolutely

Love the information you have provided on parts. I have to tell you, this was hard to watch. I can't believe you didn't put something under the pots while soldering to protect the finish. I'm sure it all came out ok, but my OCD levels were sky high. We need the canid videos so we get a good feel what the job is going to be like, the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks for not editing the video to the point that it would have looked like this little operation was a piece of cake. I understand that this is your first semi-hollow body pickup swap out. Rock on my friend. Love what you did to the headstock.

Yeah, if it were a guitar I cared much about, I obviously would have taken precautions. Luckily, the junk poly finish is very durable. But I don't really deal with uppity guitars much, and the ones I own are case queens. I personally am not a fan of perfect anything, yet not really into "relic-ing" guitars either. I just like to mod cheap guitars and mildly damage everything I touch, but still leave it somehow objectively better. There's a few weird fellows out there that get me, but not many. That's why I haven't made any videos in the last couple of years. Anyway, if you're still reading, thanks for watching! 👀 God bless!

I'm sure you got it set up good, but man you are rough on the handling of that thing and your ring was slapping it all over the place. If you are going to nit pick the finish and then do the bull in a china shop, best not to say anything about the finish. I'm sure the finish was better when you first took it out of the box than it was by the time you got done. Thanks for the video and the links. I hope you made a part 2, I will see if I can find it. It's too much to deal with when you're also worrying about a guitar rig. The quality of the delay, reverb, and tuning, is lacking at best. If you're not a scatter-brained, unorganized guitarist/vocalist, like me, and you like the way it sounds, buy it! If you're not happy with my opinion of the piece, that's fine. Buy one. Make your own video.

I decided to see what all the hype was about surrounding these Firefly guitars, so I bought the 2024 Explorer/Destroyer model. Not impressed at all, sorry to say. Electronics was wonky, no real string resonance due to the neck having a wave in it at around the 3rd fret which a truss rod adjustment couldn't help. Other than that, it was a good-looking guitar. Tried a Westcreek which blew away the Firefly.

Ok dude I’m sorry, but you missed all the functionality of this pedal. You do not have to run the guitar through pa. This is for people who can ACTUALLY sing and want a small bit of pitch correction. You should never turn a pitch correction past 20ish percent. If you’re a good singer it will do the subtle thing you are looking for. Lots of singers or church bands need that little correction for live performances or streams. And this pedal does exactly that for cheaper than anything else. Let’s be real. Lots of people think they can sing and 90 percent of them can’t. This pedal is not for those people.

Not sure why you'd watch a video on a product that you understand so well. I was just giving an opinion on the functionality, and how it applies to a shitty, scatterbrained singer in a shitty band. But nonetheless, that's what it's about, thanks for watching 👀 👍 🙏 😊

The best thing to use on getting the pots and switch through the holes is to use a 1/4th inside diameter and a 5/16th outside diameter clear plastic tubing, it fits over the pot shafts and switch shaft very well, and will fit through pot and switch holes to pull them through without scuffing up the guitar.

Thanks for watching! Merry Christmas! I have had several comments from people telling me how to do it. That's great, unfortunately it's not something I could deal with in a live situation. I was trying to review from the prospective of a guitar playing singer, as there's a guitar reference feed through. But dealing with other pedals, I don't have the time (or mental capacity) to tap the tempo as the drummer is counting in. Honestly a good slap back and maybe just a touch of verb was what I would have liked. Just keeping the guitar reference from feeding through to the pa was a process. And the nail in the coffin was that it just didn't sound good to me.

just picked up a tele and a “338”. The 338 seems great out of the box. The tele, bridge pickup doesn’t work out of the box. Simple enough fix, I planned on replacing electronics eventually anyway. However, regardless the price, it should be playable out of the box, that’s what you’re buying - a working, new guitar. Contacted them and they offered $20 off, sure why not. I opened it up and the wiring is totally different from any tele schematic I looked at, so that most likely explains it. At the price point I figure you’re essentially buying the body/neck. However, things should be as advertised for sure.

Yeah I have pretty much came to accept that they are just going to need some work. I have changed pickups, tuners, leveled frets, adjusted the truss rod, and even swapped the bridge for a roller. After all of that, oddly, the fat neck makes me want to shred for some reason. I typically like a thin neck, but this thing has me questioning my beliefs, lol. Thanks for watching!

There are youtube reviews that answer all your complaints. This unit has tap tempo, repeat echo ajustment, and mix, or unmixed guitar/mic outputs. People have complained there is no volume level to adjust, but did they see what is on their electric, or electric acoustic guitar? Wow, a volume knob. The tone button has three 'equaliser' settings for voice. I would considered this pedal (FV01) over the Mic Mechanic 2, as it has better features and settings. Watch the review videos for the FV01 and you'll likely delete this video feeling silly.

@@ROCKNROLLMODS Just a matter of getting to know it really. Most people that use these are solo performers that don't have FX mixers, or many pedal if at all. For that reason, it is a cost effective solution if one cares to learn it's manual to use it properly. I guess writing basic instructions on it might wear off, or be too small to read from above anyway. I is way better than the Mic Mechanic 2, as I have Rode M2 mics that don't perform optimal with the P24 that unit puts out. This one does the P48 and has correction to instrument note detection. How effective that is eludes me, but I'd still buy one to free up mixer FX for backup vocals. Both this unit and my mixer have tap tempo on the delay effects so they aren't out of sync. Both also have effect saturation / duration and on this unit, one uses the corractuon knob to adjust that when in the right edit mode.

Very cool! I haven't tried Fishmans yet, but in my 2 main les paul style guitars, I have EMG 81/85s in one, and the other has Duncan Blackouts. Can't say which I like better. The Duncan's may be a touch hotter. Either way, they are a little thinner sounding than Alnico 5's on the midrange, which is where guitar tone lives. So if I'm playing classic rock, the Alnico's seem hotter, but if you're trying to play modern metal, the active pickups are much less muddy sounding.
