Still confused about the liaison. Is it je suis alle (z sound) or suis alle (no s sound). Most videos I've seen have no s sound linking the two.

R French in my native language- Vietnamese - has the sound "kh" similar to it a little , but we use the throat less than French a little , so the first time i try to pronounce it , i pronounce like a beast when using throat too strong , and when i use it more and more , i can make it softer , can be bond with other letter (like tr , gr , dr,..) .

Euh n'écoutez pas ces conseils, vous serez juste bizarre au yeux des autres si vous suivez ce qu'ils disent dans cette vidéo, mention spécial pour "ça va ?" et "bon appétit" tous les français le disent dans la vie courante et c'est totalement normal. Signé un bon p'tit français.

Cette vidéo c'est n'importe quoi ! Tous les Français parlent comme ça ! Faut arrêter de raconter des bêtises aux étrangers qui veulent apprendre notre belle langue. Non seulement vous les induisez en erreur mais aussi vous les découragez ! À tous ceux qui veulent apprendre le français, toutes ces expressions sont parfaitement ok sauf pour des cas extrêmes comme cette dame !🤦🏻‍♀️

Vous ne souhaitez pas « bon appétit », mais vous offrez à vos invités un apéritif et un digestif ! En pratique, je souhaite « bon appétit » aux gens qui ont l’habitude de se le souhaiter et chez qui ce serait perçu comme impoli de ne pas le faire. Il s’agit des classes populaires. Je m’abstiens avec les aristocrates et les snobs. La pire impolitesse étant de faire remarquer aux autres leur impolitesse, je ne me permettrais jamais d’humilier les gens simples en ne répondant pas à leur « bon appétit ».

«Comment vous sentez-vous aujourd’hui ? » ne s’utilise que si on parle à une personne malade, par exemple un médecin avec son patient, un proche avec un membre de la famille malade. La question est trop intrusive pour être posée à un étranger ou une simple connaissance.

Mais vraiment la, elle parle sérieusement? Mais qui s'en fiche

Alex… I was touched by your story of how your passion for French fueled a deep dive into the language and culture. It echoes mine in certain ways though at a different life stage. I was raised in Canada in the 60s, and we learned French from the 3rd grade. My father’s side of the family was Québécois. It was a time when French-Canadian heritage was looked down upon. (Fortunately that has changed.) Coupled with the rote methods of teaching and disinterested classmates, I developed a certain distaste for French and in high school, switched to German. Fast forward many years and I had a few experiences in France and elsewhere in Europe where French fluency would have been very helpful. So that became my motivation! I developed a deep love for the language and now I consider myself a relatively advanced speaker. I like the way you package certain expressions and their French equivalents. I see languages and a series of pattern structures, so knowing equivalents that aren’t direct translations is really helpful! One of the tools that has really helped me is having regular language partners. Apps like Tandem and others have made all the difference. That was something that wasn’t available I imagine when your niece was your language buddy! Merci d’avoir partagé tes vídeos et ton histoire ! ❤🌈
