RWP was ok at the time, but as a Rocker, it was too Indie for me. Had its m9ments, but by far the best ever NZ music show was Grunt Machine. I will never forget the excitement when they had a Status Quo special in the late 70s.

I seem to be the only person in this comment section who had never heard of them. They popped up in the middle of an automated mix a parody groups and mockumentary groups, so I just assumed that was what they were. My smart speaker informs me they were an actual group. Going to have to look into this.

I was 7 or 8 when this came out but I rememember hearing this song on 95BFM much latter as a 13 year old(even though they'd done their dash by then),and I was instantly taken !...it's an amazing song).I love the old footage of Auckland CBD(queen street/krd), it's priceless ❤...as it's capturing a history(architecturally and everything) that doesn't really exist anymore 😔. Long live Suburban Reptiles theyll always sound fresh & timeless to me 💞 Feel so very fortunate to have grown up with really intersting & kickarse female role models ' unlike alot of young girls & women today (tragic )
