I wrote a spoken word poem about my time as a Mortuary Affairs Specialist in the Army. Within my job, we assisted with the autopsies of fallen soldiers, processed their personal effects in preparation to return them to the families, and performed funeral services. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHa3fYl6fdx_mK8

When will the museum be open to the public? I am a rookie historian doing research on female soldiers during the Revolutionary War. I notice you have camp followers, however, is the army recognizing the hundreds of women who were soldiers during the Revolutionary War? I discovered many of them and they received pensions.

As a Black Vet it's disrespectful for that so call dam White female General to not recognize her rank. She retired a Colonel. Call her what she is. She felt it important for us to know her dam rank. The racism was still alive in the 90s.

Gen. Foote, seemed to have forgotten military protocol by not referring or acknowledging the rank title of Lt. Col. Charity Adams Early. You would think that such a high ranking officer would have learned better, especially in light of the subject matter at hand.
@valeriewilliams30102 жыл бұрын
That is the first thing I noticed…
@johnmcjunkin4613 Жыл бұрын
@@valeriewilliams3010: General Foote, was very neglectful of her military bearings, by often referring to Colonel Adams by her first name, and not by rank. It shows a lack of respect and disparages Colonel Adams military status, as well as treatment for a fellow officer, be it black or white, male or female, Allie or foe.
@syckindahead10 ай бұрын
🎯it was off-putting and slightly distracted me throughout the conversation.
@johnmcjunkin461310 ай бұрын
@@syckindahead: I quite agree, it is extremely glaring to witness. I've never by a military fan of General Foote, for I felt, that there were far more female officers, worthy of her rank, than her. That said, I still honor her rank. General Foote should have done so, herself....but her disrespect of Lt. Col. Addams, is by far and away,
