Brilliant! I'm curious if you filmed these by manually operating the drone, or if you programmed in a series of waypoints for the drone to fly. I'm about to try setting up some waypoints for Gravy Train at Duthie.

@dinnersat630Ай бұрын
Nice one! Do you think the DJI action 4 has better quality than the GoPro? Be cool to dive that spot with a mask and snorkel and see what the underwater terrain looks like.
@OpenRangeStudiosАй бұрын
@@dinnersat630 I like the look better than GoPro, especially because it has a Log mode. Reliability is the biggest reason I switched. I've had a bunch of GoPro's over the years and each one has had a failed recording or corrupted files. I've just lost too many good moments to GoPro failures. Diving under the falls would be dope. I think I'll bring fins and a mask next time.

How do you expose without an ND filter? Shutter doesn’t seem to be that slow, is it the tight aperture? Thinking about getting this instead of the 14-24 for the 2 extra mm but the lack of filter thread concerns me.
@mogyesz2253 ай бұрын
Nvm there’s no filter thread on the other one either
@OpenRangeStudios3 ай бұрын
I was shooting between f8 and f20 to keep 180 degree shutter speed. A filter would be nice for bright days. I think there’s some adapters that have a drop in filter

Well.. still wobble. But yea, Its 12mm on a fullframe using sensor stabilization. Im not even sure if its anatomically possible to have like total 0% wobble tbh. I mean for what it is, its pretty damn good. Would love to see the same test with 24mm, since thats the most common wide angle used and also in normal 4k mode. 6k opengate is cool but I think it makes the wobble more noticeable and most people dont use that mode. Thanks for the video!
@OpenRangeStudios3 ай бұрын
Yep, still some wobble even though I think there's improvement. Walking heavy footed at 12mm is still a disaster. A few of the shots were at 24mm... probably the good ones. I might try to mix in the new electronic stabilization feature for a wide angle test in 4K with 16:9 aspect ratio. Thanks for the response 🤙
