Independent artist can still achieve billboard hits fairly massive underground following pulses. I think drake has a huge share in the independent market fanbase already. Which makes him and Taylor swift as doubly successful as they are over other artists and they have the careers longevity also unlike other artists who are simply successful …. Drake and Taylor swift are beyond the normal comprehension of what usual thought of successful is. Drake has dropped projects independently if im right they were smaller scale projects with less serious roll outs but still . They had good enough reception and reviews to satisfy his audience. Even make new fans. Drake has good business relationships and a personal independent underground mapping of the US , the Uk , Canada and it’s up to the magic of music from there some advertisings marketing independent branding couldn’t hurt if you will of being his own independent distribution if he wanted. He has the best of both worlds, why would he choose, to go independent, would be like choosing the car without the red button nitrous blue tank.
