did any of you actually play warrior? i feel like ya'll are missing the entire class. warrior is so fucking good. all stages of the game. just can't suck. autoattack is fine for one mob but an earthquake + shockwave totem will prime the entire room for stun. and then boneshatter + gems will blow up the entire room. it's so easy. and once you stun a boss once, which takes a few hits only, you can seismic cry + infernal cry and oneshot a boss with hammer of the gods (endgame.) and perfect strike beats a boss in 3-4 hits during the campaign. it's not exactly as fast but it's super fast. leap slam -> dodge to cancel animation on land. then boneshatter and dodge to cancel animation (the swing animation is longer than it takes to do damage.) every single time...entire room blows up. i felt way OP and it got kinda boring.

Balancing is only necessary if something is insanely overtuned by no means should all spells be able to do the same damage

Based ventrua and goratha takes You can see the difference in mindset and opinions, especially if you played diablo 2 or not Crouching tuna isnt contributing since he is poe 1 brain and has no patiences Wont change his mindset and is suffering for it

I returned to LE after 80 hours in PoE2, and the QoL is sooo much better. Also, LE has the best crafting.

I wonder why they dont integrate some sort of profile system for the passive tree that lets you save your current build layout so if you respec you can revert back if you dont like the new build etc.

Eh, movespeed should probably be an implicit from advanced boots onwards. With like 10% on advanced and 15% on expert. And then remove some of the higher tier rolls or adjust their weighting so they are rarer. Rn, getting/slamming boots and they have no movespeed (20% minimum imo) makes them basically unusable, no matter what stats they have.

Doesn't it make sense to balance around the lower skill level players? High skill players will excel regardless. They will find the meta in any case. They will grind/get OP. Casuals need to be first and foremost considered, they don't have the same mindset.

I suspect the idea/goal behind ES is that it is meant to be the north side's main defensive layer due to north side has relatively poor access to physical mitigation, evasion, and increased max resistance. With that said even if the idea is good, the execution can still be unbalanced.

Yea, idea is just bigger pool while life is more about mitigation. Think all pure armor gear should be able to roll % phys mit and max res to balance them better

they seem to have some low level problems going on with targeting. they already put out a "fix" for this but it didnt really do what they said it should. your guy will still turn on his own and ignore where youre aiming. the fact theres not just a "all smart targeting off" checkbox in the settings(which i would use, if it existed) is rubbish. and the fact that "fix" that didnt really fix anything makes me really worried that this controller user helper (autoaim lol) is so low level that they cant just let you turn it off......

20:55 I don't really understand why people keep comparing ES to life, it's not a 1:1 comparison whatsoever because it's in lieu of other defenses. The conversation about ES should be about the effective HP it provides, which we don't have the exact numbers on without PoB. Someone with 90% evade and 80% armor may be getting more use out of 2500 life than an ES stacker is getting out of 12k ES. Whether ES values are too high compared to evasion or armour values, or whether it's too easy to gain extra sources of it would be a better conversation.

2:03:00 there is a way to do exactly that with jewels: vaaling a jewel can give both resistances and attributes. I've been plugging my resistance "holes" with jewels all the time.

If u focus on rarity during campaign, u end up spending all currency to add useful mods on gear. It is easier to craft weapon and body armor though.

i mean if you think about it, a lot of the issues are resolved in poe1 by just bench craft. res early, attributes early , etc i miss a crafting bench to be able to tweak early the little i miss for gear etc

Biggest issue by far right now is not being able to destroy equipped runes so you can put new runes in. It makes it almost impossible to use new gear without getting a full new set.

During the run up to launch Jonathan mentioned in interviews that melee was really strong in comparison to other stuff. Tough to see what he was talking about in that regard. I think maybe something with last second balance around tankiness messed it up? I would be fine with the clunky long animations on mace skills IF they were able to tank hits while they were doing it. But an armor life build is just so far below other forms of tankiness right now. i think warrior might feel better after they rebalance tankiness

i think he mis-spoke. being in MELEE RANGE of bosses is actually much stronger than standing at range in many cases. but ya dont have to be a melee character to do that tho do ya xD

Idea. Every map should have a boss as they exist now. And there should be a separate "boss map" that is even harder than the regular map boss. Tuna said something similar. Additional idea, once you go into a map it's considered "complete." Because if you're punished after death by losing the map, you shouldn't be additioinaly punished by having to run a map that has NOTHING on it... The punishment is currently double dipping.

new players aren't absorbing "all info" for poe 2 either. still plenty of idiots running around with no effing clue. peeps are just more willing to actually read and learn with a shiny new toy that looks pretty. the marketing for poe2 didn't hurt either with all the talk about how "new player friendly" it would be. it's been simplified to some degree, but not in any way that would functionally matter for a new player. you still have a massive skill tree you need to navigate; you still have tons of skills to choose from, and tons of different stats on gear to figure out. oh, and all this new crafting currency that new players have never seen before, that they're naively using on gear because the devs said they wanted more crafting...all the while there's actually no crafting at all and it's instead just rng "slam a thing and pray". I don't honestly see how any of this is more "new player friendly" than poe 1 tbh. I think poe1 was hurt alot by pretentious streamers warning that the game was so hard and brutal. now, in comparison, poe1 is a cake walk. you can literally get through the campaign with damn near any build you can dream up. just focus on getting life and resistances everywhere you can, and you're golden. you even have a simple, convenient crafting bench to add needed life, resists or attributes. we keep pushing this narrative that poe 1 was so complicated, and i think at this point the narrative is doing more harm than the game ever did. #rantover

Charms work AFTER you get the status. That's how it's worded. It's used to prevent chain status. You get poisoned but during that duration you can't get poisoned again. Otherwise op asf.
