My wife bought me a few bags of coffee for Chrissy. (About 6 months worth lol). Sensory Labs. I'm using Victoria mountain grown atm and enjoying a double shot flat white while watching this. I find that different brands require different grind sizes for reasonable ease of flow through a machine. Hence my machine is getting a little old now. For the Victoria one I'm almost finished now I'm using a fine size grind. Others a slightly coarser grind. I usually play around finding the right grind size each time I get a different brand. I have sometimes ground way to much and put some into a canister. Haven't really noticed much difference between freshly ground but then haven't paid much attention. Great to see you out there among the gum trees having a good ol time with different gadgets. Love the water crossing at the start of your video. Can you swim in this river? Would love to camp alongside a river you can swim in with some depth and listen to the sound of the running water. Allyn river was a great place to do just that but NPWS have put lots of restrictions on doing that sadly

It’s not a yuppy item, it just makes fresh coffee quickly and efficiently. Saves spending thousands on a huge inverter and a seperate big coffee machine. I appreciate what you’re saying in essence and even though I do a hell of a lot of camp fire cooking myself, I love a good coffee while camping. the concern is where that broken bit go would pull the manifold off and check it's not lodged in the intake system just waiting to enter the engine and cause catastrophic damage
@4WheelingInNSW5 ай бұрын
No thank goodness, it was all good ... That was my first panic thought too. I think by their design, that can't happen as the piece ( the little round flap ) is on the "outside" of the vertical shaft that holds it so it can't actually get passed the shaft and then into the inlet manifold. It's not on the inlet side of the vertical shaft thank goodness.
@coadyg5 ай бұрын
@4WheelingInNSW if you did not find it I would be concerned that it is sitting possibly inhibited from entering the engine by valve clearance but eventually may damage the valve or enter the engine. For piece of mind I would remove the manifold and put magnet telescope into each valve port clean manifold while you in there. Just saying. On the blanking bit if you doing reasonable distances and not short trips it would be fine just don't do the catch can thing I believe that is the big killer.
@4WheelingInNSW5 ай бұрын
@@coadyg no the bit came out, I physically had it in my hand which I showed in the video, looks like a brass 20c coin or a washer. It definitely came out so that was one good thing. I do 100 k’s each day to and from work plus all my weekend driving / camping etc so racking up the k’s is no issue. Funny you say about the catch can being bad in the engine because everyone else that I speak to or read about say the catch can saved the engine - stopping all the oily sooty crap getting back in the engine. That’s what I mean, there’s so many conflicting stories on catch cans and blanking EGR’s.

@4WheelingInNSW5 ай бұрын
I bought one of those blanking plates when I first bought the ute however after then reading online and researching it a fair bit, it seems that blanking them off can then lead to other engine issues so I never progressed with it. It's a catch 22 with those things.

What a rort! Mate I know the 4wd industry went silly with pricing over covid, but you’ve gotta be kidding. There’s not 30k there. I’m happy to price the sucker out with you. You’ve listed the options in the website. Great little unit! Thoughtful design, wonderful for a single person or couple, but seriously. Sandwich panels aren’t expensive, nor is labour in South Africa.
@4WheelingInNSW5 ай бұрын
To be honest, I too did think, initially, they're not cheap however after researching any other products of comparable quality, fit and finish and with the inclusions these come with, they don't seem to badly priced. I wouldn't want to pay that kind of premium price if they were being made very cheaply in the one country that currently produces approx. 40% of the caravans in the Australian market, that's for sure but the South African product seems to be very well built. When you factor in the associated costs to develop it, build it, fit it out and include freight to the other side of the world, I think these are pretty reasonable myself. I know some may compare this up against a much larger van that has more included options, however I think longevity is very important to many people too. And that's where some pricing difference comes in. As you say, they're great for a touring couple, most definitely. Each to their own though and I welcome all feedback so thank you and thanks for tuning in.

@4WheelingInNSW5 ай бұрын
No offence taken mate, each to their. Everyone likes and wants something different I guess. Yes they made not be the cheapest out there however I couldn’t argue with the build quality. I like. It to like a Mercedes v a Hyundai i30. Both cars but different quality. And if you look at any other brand of similar build quality in that hybrid / crossover van market, they’re all very similarly priced. There are plenty of cheaper ( and larger ) vans out there however I think the quality may also be significantly cheaper too and their longevity could be questioned. Thanks for watching and for your feedback mate, I sincerely appreciate it, cheers 👍
