I hate to admit it but I'm enjoying the process and understanding your suffering of going back and forth then realisation and then figuring it out. I'm not the only one thankfully. Many would just edit it all out and make it look like they just knew from the beginning exactly what was needed but yours is reality I think for most of us and that makes it familiar and much more informative. Thanks.

Thanks mate, I sincerely appreciate the comments and feedback. I like your way of thinking too mate. I've often thought, while editing, how much do I include and exclude and 9 times out of 10 think I will leave "that bit" in as I hope this will genuinely help out others. And leaving in the thought process helps others to think outside the box. It's no good if I show a super quick install of something that took an entire day - it creates unrealistic expectations for others and just leads to disappointment and frustration. So thank you mate, I really appreciate your comments and viewing. 👍👍👍 Cheers mate P.S - keep watching as I have a walkthrough video to follow and I've added something else further for practicality and use that you may enjoy. Nice one Grant. The best thing is you did it yourself and the satisfaction that brings. It doesn't matter if its professional looking or not - its yours.

That's it mate, that's what it's all about. Self pride of knowing you've done it all yourself. Cheers mate and thanks for feedback 👍

Grant. This is a case of measure a thousand times and drill multiple times. 🤣 Still, you rolled with the punches and came up with a solution. I'd probably put a thin rubber lining or mat on your side storage areas of the slide, this would probably stop your stuff from rattling on the wall.
@4WheelingInNSW2 жыл бұрын
🤣 true mate. Yeah hadn’t thought about the rubber strapping but now you mention it 🤔🤔 Thanks mate 👍

@@4WheelingInNSW This might also be an ideal lining to use to insulate the box. Search for "Moroday 750 x 10mm x 1.8m Adhesive Foam Roll" in Bunnings. Also be a good non slip lining and stop things from banging and rattling on the wall.

You're getting there mate. We all stuff up here and there with sizes lmfao. I measure twice, three times etc and still manage to stuff it up lmfao. The top on that cooker will probably come off eventually, mine has, but you can't turn them around to sit flat like some of the older ones. To help prevent rattles consider some cheap Yoga matting from Kmart. $4 and you get 2m length and about 80cm wide. I use it in my rod tube and other things for that little bit of shock protection and rattle prevention.

Yeah mate, I love to measure twice and cut 5 times, as Forest Gump once said "sh*t happens" 😆 mate I hadn't thought of the yoga matting actually🤔, might have to suss that out as I want to avoid any more unnecessary holes in the box itself. Cheers bud.

@@4WheelingInNSW no dramas mate. The Yoga mat works a treat for some added padding. I've used some under the carpet on my roof console as well so if I get it an accident it will provide a little padding for I'm to head but it.

Looking good there mate. I’m thinking I’m gonna need a dropdown slide in the future. And or maybe a foldable step so I can see inside the fridge. I noticed some mud on the vehicle. Have you been bogged her yet? ha ha. Certainly is enough mud around lately
@4WheelingInNSW2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve, appreciate the kind words mate. Yeah the drop down slides are great ( bloody expensive ) if you need to get the fridge that bit lower. Kmart sell a great little foldable sturdy plastic "step" - $5 each mate so pretty cheap alternative - depending how much height you need. Link here if it helps ( no kick back or anything, just like helping ) - www.kmart.com.au/product/folding-step-stool-42210320/?selectedSwatch=&size= And yeah kind of seems pointless that I wash the car before I went on this run only to get it totally plastered the next day with mud. 😆 Great day out though with 15 or so other vehicles - video to follow shortly. There was one little hill climb up and out of the Upper Turon River which took 3 goes and some right boot but the Nav' ate it up. Was very muddy along the Pinnacle Firetrail due to recent grading works. Cheers mate
