Burners were rubbish although the Aeropro wasn't too bad...probably as the frame was made by Tange! you missed loads like Skyway Ta Haro freestylers. GT performer etc etc

Nope. ...and wrong Diamondback, although the Silver Streak was great. The Diamondback Turbo was the dream bike of everyone I knew (RIP Harry). Only one kid I knew had one and everybody drooled over it. Nobody talked about a Raleigh anything. It was all Diamondback, Redline, GT, Hutch, and PK Rippers. Those were the most-wanted bikes. Torkers and CW's were popular too. The beginners and novices had Kuwahara, Huffy, and Mongoose. This list is apparently based on sales. Not popularity, or what people actually wanted. At over $600 back in the 80's, not a lot of kids were riding Turbos, but we all wanted one.
@antiquescentralКүн бұрын
@RavenStorm702 Thanks for sharing your opinion. Don't forget this list is based on sales in the UK not the US, so it will be a very different selection of bikes based on geography and availability 😃 👍.

well, for me personally i tried racing several frames and combos in the 80s. and strictly for bmx/aba/nba sanctioned racing the torker was easily the fastest. the torker was only good for speed ya couldnt ride a wheely on it or anything. but it would sweep corners and accelerate like crazy. i won countless races on it. then in 2nd is the pk ripper and then the GT
