Here's an Economics awakening. You cannot compete with "slave" labor - China pays 50cents/hr. (likely much less); USA pays $15 - $25/hr.w/benifits. At 1000 employees, China saves about $100,000/day and about $30 million a year and another $30 mil. for no benifits & cheap parts. Stihl & Husky use China parts too and can cut their prices in half and still make good profits. The real problem is Americans WANT cheep prices over quality. It will be interesting/shocking to watch artificial intelligence and robots proliferate.

It may have felt good to this guy who doesn't have a saw in his hands as much as others do but clearly this wasn't worthy of a video and especially not that holler at the end

I run a blue gen 3 g660 as a cut down saw everyday. Runs and cuts amazing. My only problem with the farmertec is the carb always needs tuned. I have been running them for years. They are worth the money. I usually get about a year to a year and a half out of them before they lunch the top or bottom end. When that happens I throw it on the shelf and grab a new one and go back to work. Good running and cutting saw

I generally cleaned the bar and everything under the side plate by scooping the oily sawdust out and wiping it all off. But I didn't use mine to make a living cutting all day. I can see why they just cleaned it enough to keep it running after working all day long. Being tired out and cleaning it takes away from what little free time they have after work. I think if they had a parts cleaner like yours that they would use it. If they were company saws, I think it would pay for the company to buy a parts cleaner like yours. It might save them money in the long run. 🤔

Does the saw have a shorter piston change interval with this mod?
@JETZcorp
@JETZcorp Ай бұрын
Based on my experience with 2-stroke bikes, it should be very similar IF the cooling is still adequate. There's going to be more heat made due to the increased horsepower. Depending on how restrictive the stock muffler is, sometimes that can be offset by the freer flowing exhaust. I have an old 1967 Kawasaki with a pipe like this, and it's still drum-tight on the stock rings. I can and do hold the throttle wide open without rest going up long hills in top gear. But not every engine and pipe combo will be happy doing that. My Kawasaki came with a pretty restrictive and hot-running stock pipe, and very good cylinder cooling. Something that cane with marginal fins but a relatively free exhaust might see trouble with a pipe. If the pipe and/or porting causes the engine to get run at a faster RPM, that will shorten the life of the piston and rings for sure.
