I don't remember which specific setting it is, but essentially I have all graphics settings at the lowest they go just to reduce visual distractions and make enemies more easily visible.

thx for the wisdom bro! but i think that flicking is an incredibly unreliable technique. if you hit those shots it's impressive but if you miss you will be punished quite hard if you get unlucky. so what i would rather suggest imho is to 1. get used to the chosen zoom sensitivity and 2. to try and "preaim" as best as possible in such a way that you anticipate your opponent running into the shot (if that makes sense) so that you don't have to flick in the first place and if you do have to correct a little bit only over a very short distance.

Yep. I made this video at an interesting time. Back then basically everyone assumed he was a hacker, and he was being accused as such by some pretty big names. I believe I was one of the few who defended him, as did He4rTL3sS. All three of us were often accused, though of course both of them were accused far more often than me due to how much better their aim was than mine. I was surprised to hear he went pro.

Dodge heavy. As in it's a map where you do a lot of dodging or side-stepping to avoid getting hit by enemy gunfire.

It's because on Eye to Eye and Almost Lost you can dodge around in circles. But if you try that on Thunderstruck you will either fall off the ledge or run into the wall. There is simply not as much room to dodge. And because there is not as much room to dodge on Thunderstruck, people hit much higher accuracies there.

when you watch people who have hit really really high lg, a whole lot of the time it is because of the way they intialize the lg pin. most of the time i see good tracking starting with the crosshair waiting in anticipation for them to cross into the beam, and then the reflexes of mouse aim and counter strafe kick in. it has got me some very efficient results in the past just practicing that. then it becomes more about how long you can keep it up. if you lose traction, the hardest part I find is setting that crosshair up again and getting it moving. a good dodge will be watching your lg beam or the direction you're turned. it is has actually helped my long range lg as well, but it is SUPER easy to track close range now.

it kind of seems like the opponent is just long strafing and trying to get to your side. the struggle i have the most is hitting the short strafing guys. it feels like they move faster than normal by changing directions repetitively and i can't keep track of them.

I actually uploaded it to garrysmods back in 2009. The old site doesn't exist anymore, but someone apparently reuploaded it to a new version of the site last year. Mind you, it was made on an ancient version of GMod and Wiremod, so I have no idea how well it will work on modern versions.

I don't remember. Still, shouldn't be hard to set up yourself. Just move the arm until it's in the position you want it to release, check the angle on the gyro, wire it to the E2 chip and type the E2 equivalent of 'if inputvalue is greater than gyroangle then outputvalue equals 1' and then wire the output value to the grabber's release command.

Didn't see this comment before. Sorry for replying 7 months late. Anyway, looking down when trying to do the Bridge to Rail and whatnot is to line up your jump properly. If you stand too close to the edge you might not make the jump, whereas if you stand too far away from the edge you might circle jump right off the bridge. This is more a semi-bad habit that people develop when they practice B2R than a proper way to do things, since optimally you should not have to spend time lining the jump up before performing it.

There are servers that only allow people with low ELO scores to join, preventing people with too high a skill from playing on those servers. You could look for those types of servers.

Lauri Markkula I can't get on them. I was around 1730 last time I looked. Most of those cut off at 1600. Or they have handicap, which just messes up your ELOL and makes for even more unbalanced games in future. The fair thing to do would be to catch up to the guys who have been playing for years, but I really don't have time for it. There are so many things that would be a wiser use of my time.
