Beet EDF so far. Really good enemy variety, as well as pacing of enemies in missions. Like you played the start of the game, normally you wouldn’t fight a queen ant for a long time but they put them in a decent amount as you play so you get missions that have simple mobs, more intelligent enemies like the frogs, flying enemies, and the big boss monsters and they’re mixed up in a nice pace to give missions variety. The series has really grown to have a nice variety at this point so you have reasons to use the different gear you find. The game really comes alive playing with a group and on higher difficulties. However, this is the first game to have “backpack weapons”. This really augments what the 3 non-fencer classes can do and adds more tactics. Like the ranger has a termite grenade that can block off an area, like a chokepoint in a tunnel, or a wing diver can use a light saber that penetrates and cuts through enemy armor (one of the classes more pronounced weaknesses). Figuring out how to use these new tools has made some challenging fights more doable so I could get better weapons from the hard difficulty.

There's surprisingly over 250 weapons with a scope, sight or zoom feature or combination... And Air Raider not having damage? I'd have to ask what you were using because by lv3-7 gear I was rocking up to 5,000 dps if I built for DPS or if I went CC power I rocked 3,000 dps + crowds taking 40-75% of that all over... Air Raider is surprisingly stupidly high dps... And Fencer is slow at first but becomes insanely fast as you progress. The tutorial we all agree was sucky lol.

I think if you enjoyed this, you would enjoy the other HW games. But, not necessarily the other way around.

campaign is about 9 hours, maybe longer on harder difficulty's. Skirmish, is fun but its not the same as it used to be, something is missing. There are way too many interruptions/cut scenes, the ships dont respond properly many times and need constant micro managing to get them back where they belong. Id wait to purchase until its dropped in price after a year, 60 bucks usd for this is way too much. I wont trust this publisher again.

homeworld has always been a great mod platform than a stand-alone game. Return in a few years and play the best (insert sci-fi franchise of choice) space RTS game out.

Thanks for the overview. On the fence on buying the game right now dispite waiting 20 years after playing the disappointing beta and seeing the cringy new cutscenes. After hearing they've rewrote the history of the past two games (again) I'm not sure if its time to jump in. Maybe later in the future when good mods come out.

After an update, Horde mode and Raya's Escape is now unlocked from the beginning.

The game become more interesting when you finish the novice mission and they let you do more stuff and decisions on your own, intermediary mission will open new game mode too like infinite hordes wich can be very difficult very fast if not prepare properly.

for me, Im bored of games that have overly simple ai for the enemies. Like in this and so many other games today, all they do is walk in a straight line directly towards whatever target they have chosen. no tactics, no self preservation, no using cover

60fps at 1440p with a 3080ti is fine....

I was unsure if I should give this a try since IGN gave it a 7 and the reviewer seem to enjoy his 60 hours playthrough but the horrible steam reviews just had me baffled. Your earliy review convinced me to give this a try. Thanks!

Game has a TON of promise, but definitely needs more optimization and polish. But it's fun so far

Game is quick because you have veteran player capping the flag so quickly, while the newb are still learning how to kill ppl. If it was an even game, game wouldn’t be so quick

Originally, Tribes 1 and 2 had a much more important meta game around the base generator. Players would spawn in a light armor with basic weapons and then they would have to go to an inventory station to select their preferred preset. If the generator was destroyed the inventory stations wouldn't work, so there was a lot of strategy and gameplay around raiding the enemy base or defending your own base. Also, there were lots of different deployable items that are missing here, as well as vehicles, the maps were much larger, and the teams were 32 v 32 or 64 vs 64 (all the way back in 1998). Tribes 3 is very bare bones - a shame Hi-Rez has the IP because they really don't do it justice.

Thank you for checking out my favorite game! The first few matches are filled with a pretty large amount of bots as an effort to help ease new players into the mechanics (controversial decision) but after you break past that or play custom lobbies in more organkzed groups, the depth of the game through the unique roles, mechanics, and map knowledge explodes! When you hop back in feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to set something up!

It's a pet peeve of mine when you get new gear, but it just affects stats and not appearance! Takes me back to X-Men Legends. But at least X-Men Legends had some alternate costumes your team could wear.

Man if you've only red "The Inquisitor" book series and it spin offs (like Fire and Cross and Me the The Inquisitor) [7 book i think]... i don't think they were translated into English thou. i have red them all in Polish. Fascinating world, i am mising in game traditional Mordimer's companions like "Kostuch" (Grim Reaper) or "the Twins". Maybe they will translate these like they did with The Witcher... just no Netflix approach

You need to play Yakuza : Like a dragon. It takes place before this one. You are playing the same character. So you are missing a lot of back story between him and the other characters.
