I love Mammoth in the early morning. Enjoy. When I worked for Insurance Services Office (ISO), heavy timber was rated more fire resistant and insurance rates were lower. It’s a heck of a lot better to have that trashcan tore up then to have your garage or your car or your trucks tore up. People go camping and tell you not to leave your groceries outside. My dad RIP was a contractor owned his own business did construction for over 50 years in various different fields We lived in Big Bear Lake California which is in Southern California Big Bears a lot like Mammoth The heavy timber you're putting up it seems like a lot of heavy wood for a small home and the balconies wow You could get a nosebleed on those things you can't be scared of heights when you walk out there to sit on your deck that's for sure

I've built trusses like that. We set up a table on the subfloor and in the front yard. Pre assembled and brought in the crane for erection. He was out of there by noon. Not a three day crane job. That's gonna cost a fortune. Hard to watch. Plus it's just sitting on the subfloor, can't see how the roof load will be transferred to the foundation without damage to the subfloor.

Your can says "Bear Saver" on the side. My house is on a built up berm in the country. The cans are always kept next to the driveway, yep, adjacent to a berm. Every once in a while the cans is are tipped backward down a 6 ft slope and all of the bags are opened on the yard. That's a Black bear in Florida. I saw it out back once with a giant orange collar. The FDNR said that I could shoot it if necessary because I have my grandchildren over on weekends and summer vacations. That's country living when a pit viper comes into the garage looking for food.
