Hello class 37610 has a nice idle when the engine starts up and the engine sounds like it is running while after doing the cold start that's why the idle on class 37610 sounds different

A great old coach of its time. I travelled on many of these petrol engine SG's as a kid in the early '60s. I remember their distinctive engine sound quite unlike today's diesels which all sound alike. Cozy interiors too. The drivers really had their work cut out driving these. Quite unlike today's buses and coaches with their power steering, air brakes and automatic gearboxes. I really enjoyed this video which took me way back to my childhood.

Thanks for doing the video and to the rescuers and restorers for their unstinting work in getting this handsome early postwar Crossley back on the road! Most enjoyable. Although our Reading Crossleys, of which one survives, had the downdraught engine, the wonderful sound effects of this Roe-bodied Northampton survivor take me right back.

I was on her. 47 804 had a bufferstop collision at Liverpool Street ! 70013 accelerated superb, would put a Class 90 to shame. She stormed Bethnal Green and Brentwood Banks, despite being routed on the Down Electric Line at Ilford Flyover. Not looped at Ingatestone, Witham or Stowmarket. Driver knew her boiler certificate was due to expire, so thrashed her the death without mercy. After failure at Swainsthorpe, 47 804 provided some rear end assistance. Still my favourite kettle !

DBSO had picked up a bit of a wheel flat by the last shot though. Probably due to skidding under braking
