The typefaces are not "fonts". Please, be accurate in your terminology. A 'font' can be added to a typeface, but not the reverse.

Terry, Pray all is alright with you and your husband. I miss your videos on use of the machines and software so much. You are so articulate and instructions are so perfect and stated in such a quick format that I don't have to spend 1 hour of listening and trying to figure out what to do. In other words, straight and to the punch. Great job. Please come back with more videos if you can.

What is the difference between cutting the scorpion directly on the SNC and sending it to the Lumi and making an applique out of it if no changes in size are made?

Thank you for this! I have found that when using the fonts within PE-Design they don't always end or start with an anchor stitch or a lock stitch and the letters will unravel. Do you know how to create the anchor or lock stitch within PE-Design?

Hi Terry, I'm still learning my Luminaire XP 3(upgraded) I have owned for 2 years. All your video about it were so helpful, and found new things I didn't know about this machine. I do have a some problem as someone here mentioned, about the knowledge of the people at the store where I purchased it, that didn't really know about what this machine can do. hey, i have had the same problem. you need to click on "view" in that tab there is a button that says "sewing order" you should get it back when you click on it.

Terry, Why or Why did I not listen to EVERYONE and start watching you videos several years ago when I first got my luminaire 2. They are the best and I am learning so much. My health was keeping me from taking in person classes. I'm trying to take them now but It is still difficult to get there. I'm thinking I'm going to be going to the School of Terry. Hi Terry, sadly this just isn't making sense to me. I have an 8x8 hoop in my machine. According to what I've read, it should fit a pattern of 7 5/8th x 7 5/8th. My pattern is 4 x 6.5, yet it tells me I need a larger hoop. How do I fix this so I don't have to go to a larger hoop? I hate wasting my money by always having to use twice the stabilizer than what I need. This is the most frustrating thing about this machine, which makes me hate the embroidery function. If you could help, I would really appreciate it!

@@bethe5018 - The embroidery field on a 8 x 8 is 7.9 x 7.9. If your embroidery design is 4 x 6.5 and that is the size appearing at the top of your embroidery edit screen, make sure the design is centered inside the hoop by going to Embroidery Edit/Move. You should see the arrows at the bottom of the screen to move the design. Choose the center. This positions your design in the center of the hoop. If you are still having issues, it may be related to the sensor on your embroidery Arm. Are you using a Brother or Baby lock hoop or a third party hoop?

Thank you for the video Terry! I am interested in a ScanNCut, but would like to know if there are videos that show the next step of attaching and sewing the cut appliques on to your fabric. In other words, what is the best way to hold the cut piece in place before sewing? Do you do the outline stitch, iron with the heat and bond, and then sew in place? TIA

I am totally new to machine embroidery and using the snowman. What would help me so much is seeing exactly what to do when my snowman doesn't want to play nice. No matter how I place the sticker I still get the message machine can not recognize the snowman or design is outside placement area. A video showing the actual process of fixing this problem would be so helpful. Very frustrated at this point.

@@terrijob7818 Terri, try using a larger hoop. Make sure the snowman is positioned with the small circle on the top. It might help you to just hoop up some tear away stabilizer in a 5 x 7 hoop. Go to Embroidery and the fonts menu and select font 1 (S) and type your name. Draw 3 lines inside your hoop at different angles. Make sure you look at the bumps or indentations on the inside of your hoop. You will notice the 5 x 7 hoop is actually larger than 5 x 7 but the embroidery area in the hoop is defined by these plastic bumps on the inside of the hoop. Your lines should not go outside of what is designated as the top, bottom or sides of the embroidery area also known as embroidery field. Now place a snowman sticker on the line where you want your name to begin and see if you get error messages.
