do you find the fridge to be big enough ?
@idratherbesailing
@idratherbesailing 6 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, I think since they've swapped over to the electric fridges, it's enough space. The previous models had propane fridges with a big amount of space taken up by those metal fins in the back, but ours is 100% usable space. We can fit a long-weekend's worth of food for regular camping trips, plus sodas/drinks, condiments, etc. For longer trips, we bring a cooler and keep drinks outside to free up more space for food inside.

Maker's Mark is an all-time favorite tour! But yikes, we did it so long ago, we didn't have to reserve - we all just showed up. That was 12--13 years ago... If you get to Lexington, the tour at Lexington Brewery / Distillery was fabulous! They have one of my favorite beers ever :)

Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. My wife and I started our bourbon journey in the early fall of 2023 and I could really relate to your experiences. We have a son and daughter in-law that live in Louisville (we live in a suburb of Indianapolis) and have started going on bourbon tours when we visit them. We went on the Maker's Mark tour in early September 2023 and thought it was great. Beautiful grounds and the tour was informative and interesting. We visited the Bardstown Bourbon Company and Jim Beam on the same trip, but just went to the visitor's centers and did not take the tours. Thanks to your videos we know that we want to go back and take the tours at both places, as well as several others, definitely Four Roses, Bulleit, Stitzel-Weller and Old Forester. Earlier this month we took a tour of Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace in the same day, Woodford Reserve at 10:00am and Buffalo Trace in the afternoon at 3:00pm. That left enough time for a leisurely lunch in Lexington and a visit to the Castle and Key grounds (no tour) on the way to Buffalo Trace. We got lucky and had temperatures in the low 50s, rare for early February and that made the tours much more enjoyable I'm sure. 4 tours in one day, that's a lot of bourbon tasting and a lot of walking! Buffalo Trace has a different hard to get bourbon available each day in their gift shop, Blanton's, Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor, etc. on a first come first serve basis until they run out. That's one of the reasons for the long line to get in, a lot of those people are not there for the tours, they are their to get the chance to buy hard to get Bourbons at reasonable prices. The day we visited, a Saturday, Eagle Rare was the offering and had sold out by mid-morning. By the time our tour started at 3:00pm there were just a few people in line at the check in building and the gift shop checkout took just a few minutes. Thanks again. There are so many bourbon channels on You Tube, I find the difference is the personality of the host(s) and that's one of the reasons I enjoyed your videos so much.

Did you have trouble with the hinges on the cabinet door as you enter your AS? I have the 2021 version of yours and the cabinet door won't stay connected to the cabinet, just wondered if you had a solution?
@idratherbesailing

Do you mean the pantry-like cabinet just inside the door on the side of the refrigerator cabinet? We haven't had any trouble with that one (yet?!) thankfully. We are having some trouble with our door to the under-bed area though. The hinges just pop apart completely without warning! I think we are missing (or accidentally discarded) the cover for those hinges and we need to 3-D print something to keep them from getting bumped constantly.

Great video. I had no idea you store your RV in Woodbridge. That's where I grew up. Our first house when we got married was in Lake Ridge. After that we moved to Triangle. We were one mile from the main gate at Quantico. These days we are retired and call Sarasota Florida home. Hurricanes are no joke. You should have packed up everything outside and put it away. Last year during hurricane Ian we had sustained winds of 209 mph. If you had been here you would have lost everything you left out. Of course with our motorhome we brought everything in and closed up the house. Then we loaded the RV, grabbed kitty and rode out the hurricane in Waco Texas. 🙂

Hi! Thanks for commenting! We definitely had our fair share of hurricanes and tropical storms growing up in South Alabama! So all done with the bed lift. Excellent modification, and I agree should have come from the factory this way. The instructions you guys provided were great, spot on the location of the blocks. The only thing I will need to do is change out the long bolts to shorter ones so they do not stick down as far. The queen size lifts are spot on as well, I was concerned that they would be to much. With just the mattress on the bed the lifts are perfect weight, add anything else like the dinette pads and then you have too much weight for the lifts.
