That looks like an amazing trip. I have taken a group up there every September for the last 15 years, so usually only get coho and some smaller halibut. Do you mind sharing where you rented your boat? DIY rental boats are becoming harder and harder to find.

I worked on this boat in highschool, as well as a few out of H&M landing. This video brought back some great memories. So grateful to have had this job vs being at a restaurant or paperboy, or whatever. Best years of my life. Great video bro!

Hey man I’m trying to go out on my boat with my pops soon. Got any tips on how far to go out, and if there’s any regulations for how far to be from the jetties, oh and is this bodega bay? The Doran beach ramp area?

Not too sure on the boundaries because we usually go pretty far. Opening months those guys are everywhere 👍🏼

Does the captain Tyler run a charter operation also so you stay at his Airbnb and he also takes you fishing?
@letsgooofishing15 ай бұрын
Not that I’m aware of. He just loves to fish. I know he has several contacts of charter companies that he would gladly share 👍🏼
@fishybiz5 ай бұрын
@@letsgooofishing1 ok thanks. I thought in the video the captain was named Tyler and also the Airbnb was him and Taylor when I looked it up.

It's great that you caught fish! As you gain experience or watch others' videos, you'll notice that when jigging at night, most anglers are using as a minimum 85lb braid and 80lb monofilament. (Depth marked) It allows you to use 25-27 lbs of drag, greatly reducing your time fighting your fish.
@testickles88345 ай бұрын
If you don't eat the 'but cheecks you are so missing out on the absolute best part of the fish.
