The episode where THAT fight music came from. And where Carol Dekker got the name of her group: T'Pau.

He only got $35,000 due to union rules: He had a pay to play contract. Since he broke the contract by refusing to play the leading role on the film that he was actually assigned to, by taking the lesser role they could only pay him the working rate for whatever role he was now in. Which was significantly lower. But he would have rather play that role because it had more screen time and significance then a Vulcan That would have been written off and have done nothing the entire movie.

T-Pau had to know what Bones was going to do; otherwise, the next time she saw Kirk she would question why he was still alive. 🖖Live Long and Prosper🖖 😭RIP Leonard Nimoy aka Spock😭

The color & quality of this print is amazing. Can you tell me what it is? Blu-ray? A version put out for some anniversary or such? Really beautiful. One of the things I live most about TOS is the way they paint the set with lights. Thank you

Imagine if Kirk won and said sure I'll take her as wife. With one exception. I forbid her to associate with ston. Vulcan marriage customs are brutal. Women don't have much choice back then on their choices if husband forbids and they break the rule it's death.

0:48 I like how Kirk sort of reluctantly approaches Spock, and his body language even from behind suggests he thinks this situation is surreal and he's going to be able to talk his way out of it. But when Spock does a little jump towards him, Kirk immediately reacts and his stance instantly transforms to High Alert Combat Mode. Was William Shatner directed to perform like this, or it is something he just did? If you look for it, you start to see a lot of under-appreciated little moments in Star Trek: TOS like this, small actions and expressions that bring a level of realism into this otherwise fantastical series.

Wow, the Star Trek pilot with Jeffrey Hunter was such a different show, the actress that played Nurse Chapel was actually Pike’s “Number One” on the bridge. A couple of bad decisions, the first being Pike’s Tube/CRT television, use of paper and clipboards and the obvious antiquated treatment of women, which you cannot really criticize as shows now will be viewed the same 50 years from now.

I always wondered if this was meant to be funny. The absolute deadpan Vulcan expression with the fast vibrato, the serious-sounding lyrics, and the fact that the kids immediately fall asleep always struck me as funny. I like to think it was intended as tongue-in-cheek, at least to some degree.
