It sounds like you want an omds em1 Mkii. Weather proof with the 12-40 mm f2.8 (24-80) lens. Best image stability. Not an attention grabber and on and on. Nice video

Just got one of these. I'd been using a generic plastic bottle for years. I'm loving this bottle and wish I had it years ago. I wasn't even particularly worried about the insulation but it delivers. Just so nice to know that water's going to be nicely chilled. I doubt I'll ever need to find out if it really lasts 24 hours but it stays cold as long as my water's in there. But the game changer for me is that spout. It's just so simple when you think about it but it just works so well.

That's great! Totally agree. The drinking spout has made such a difference

Great and very informative video! :) What is your favorite backpack from Tropicfeel? Can't decide if I should buy this one or the Shelter..
@tristbrook13 күн бұрын
@@onechilleddumpling thank you! Oooo I’ve not tried all of them yet but I have had the Shelter and my girlfriend owns the Hive. In my opinion the Shelter is too much. Too many straps that don’t stay in place. Not big and comfortable enough for backpacking but not small enough for carry on. Out of those 3 I prefer the Shell. But I’m keen to try the Nest and the Nook as a smaller daily carry option. Hope that helps?

I somewhat agree. Because it's a designed specifically as a camera it has quite a few features that make it a lot better than an iPhone. But if you're happy with the experience of using an iPhone to capture video then that's great :)

Two issues with Owala water bottles: 1) The exterior surface is slippery as a mother if it gets even a slight amount of liquid on it which is bound to happen when filling. I returned it for this reason alone. Infuriating slipperiness. I was thinking of buying latex tubing to tie on a two-ended handle to slip my hand in, etc. but I just went with the Contigo lock-top 32 oz. and Coleman 40-oz lock-top, neither of which are slippery when wet. The Coleman doesn't seem to retain cold as long as the Contigo and it does seem a Stanley handle would be nice (along with the narrowed base for car cup holders). 2) The plastics in the lid are cheaper and retain odors. I got a two-pack from Costco and one lid retained a muted and unpleasant Earl Grey Tea scent and the other got a sort of musty scent to it, not sure from what, but opening the bottle after washing it presented the smell of something you'd expect to find at a thrift store, not less than a month old and properly cared for and washed.
@tristbrookАй бұрын
Interesting! Thanks for sharing your experiences. I've personally had none of those issues. I actually just got the bottle wet to see if would make it difficult to hold and there doesn't seem to be an issue. I've also never experienced any weird scents. Did you buy the Owala free-sip? Maybe there is a difference between the ones sent to the UK and the US. Such a shame. I hope you find a good one soon that's right for you :)
@user-qh5nm7di2rАй бұрын
The perfect "big" waterbottle would actually be those "Simply Grapefruit" bottles, with the narrow neck and wider base. If only they weren't plastic. A plain steel one would be great, no need for vacuum-double wall either, the shape is great for large volume. In the same size as the juices but also maybe a taller one, same footprint. Nothing fancy for the lid, but a lanyard so it can hang off the side while drinking so it could be a one-handed affair.
@user-qh5nm7di2rАй бұрын
@@tristbrook There might even be a difference in the two-pack versions for Costco or bigbox stores. It was definitely the FreeSip. The plastics used it in seemed to be of a slightly lower quality/density (hard to say, like variance between car interiors, some seem "cheaper") The exterior surface has a fine small-grain dapple to it, and when wet it's a real bear to keep it from slipping through my fingers. The Coleman bottle has a similar texture, but no slippage. (This one: "FreeFlow AUTOSEAL® 40 oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle") It felt like some kind of prank, like "how could they DO this to me?" XD

@@tristbrook the only thing I'd say I'd do differently is I do make use of my ND filters if I wanna shoot video with my big camera. You're right about them being a pain in the ass but I suffer through it. And while slightly less useful I'll still bring one of those little lights they've come in handy a time or two. The drone was the biggest waste of money for me. I've only used it once in the past 4 years. I was in Puerto Rico and the only places I could use it was on a resort on the east side of the island and somewhere in the mountains (can't remember the exact spot). The app wouldn't let me fly it in San Juan. On the mainland, I can't even fly it around my house. I live too close to an airport. That happens if you live in a city.

And at last the Acer Spin 5 i7, Sandisk Extreme portable SSD 4TB and the PGYTECH Createmate for editing and storage. Thank you for the highly informative video; mabe you habe some recommendations für carrying cases/sling- or backbags? Greetings from germany.
@tristbrook2 ай бұрын
That's a great gear list! I should try out a small tripod like the Mantispod you mentioned. In the past I've use gorilla pods but they can become awkward to use/distract me from the experience. I have no specific recommendations for bags. I like to use normal looking backpacks with a camera cube inside for travel (maintains a low profile). Currently using the Tropicfeel Shell backpack. I did a review on it in the previous video if you're interested. For work I use a Lowepro AW350. Easier to pack a lot of equipment and keep it protected and it's cheap. Different situations call for different bags. As long as the camera gear is protected that's what really matters. Glad you found the video useful :)
