We researched the game afterwards and we get the story. The story was fine, but when the game is boring to play you can't really blame him for not catching on the first time.

@@MrJayRB I agree with the comment above me. Genuinely sorry you guys didn't find the game that interesting to play but it's more a visual novel than anything. It's known more for it's story, visuals, compelling characters than gameplay.

Ya'll are entitled to your own opinions, we're aware of the intentions of the game, that doesn't mean we have to enjoy it though. I love visual novels, so I don't have anything against this type of gameplay, but it respectfully didn't click with us. Considering how much it was hyped around the internet, I guess I just expected more in the actual game department in this particular instance.
