I am glad you covered this hidden gem of a game. Also advice if you decide to play it again for stat points in this game Strength only helps your attack power (dmg) on melee weapons such as swords, polearms, and hammers - Dex only helps with dmg on bows and katars plus evasion and crit chance and - Mind only helps with mana plus bells and staffs dmg. That is why in the video you weren't dealing as much dmg as you prob imagined doing with 31 strength while using a bow which scales with Dex.

although it is good to note that you can a) buy or loot a tome of naivety to reset your skill points and b) use stones (might, flux, agility) to change what stat your weapons scale with (it won't change skill scaling or bonus stats like +power or +mana)
