my sterling has the string volume issue, where E&A are louder than D&G. could i cut the foam under the pickup, or remove it completely, to lower the pickup even more. i am aware that the preamp runs hotter than Mount Vesuvius, and i have a preamp in the mail. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

What would be the point in this. Does it lower string height. Just got a Sterling stingray and finding your videos so helpful

Guys, don't use an allen wrench... It'll dent up your hole! You're better off using a small Philips screwdriver that will fit. You're welcome

I had the same guitar , except mine was cutaway version I love it for the dark tone and very wide projection Unfortunately about 1” of the bridge separated from the body luthier charged 250US to glue the bridge back to the body I never picked up the guitar and told the luthier to keep it

Thanks man I just got one and I thought all bass pickups couldn’t move but I guess I was wrong I was thinking about getting rid of it because of too much distortion and the b string would hit the pickup

How to adjust the pickup height separately for each string? I like to raise the E string higher than the other strings. Therefore, the distance between the E string and the pickup is wider than in other strings. Is it possible to lift the pickup magnet only under the E string?

Best review on this guitar! Is there a way to adjust string height on it? Maybe with the saddles is only thing I can think of. I've had this guitar for about 5 weeks and have 1 week to return it within their 45 return policy. You know the store, ha ha. Any help, advice on would be much appreciated.

How well does this amp handle guitars with super high gain pick-ups? Bear Knuckle pickups, Seamore Duncan Pickups, EMG active pickups, any high gain heavy metal guitar pickups if those guitars are plugged in the amp?
@theblind_guitarist19908 ай бұрын
Does this affect the Line 6 Catalyst CX amp? Also can you test out the noise gate feature on the Line 6 Catalyst CX amp? If you press and hold the boost knob on the amp, and turn the boost knob to the right it engages the noise gate. if you want to dissengage the noise gate, and stop the 60 cycle hum, you move the boost knob to the left on the catalyst CX amp.

put a BOSS noise supressor between your guitar and the amp.

That wouldn’t help. The noise is coming from the amp. The fix ended up being really easy.

Try remove static electricity from yourself. Change that sweater. Wear rubber shoes. The feedback sound comes from your body, prob grounding is not adjusted correctly.

@@jamesjrmusic Talk to an electrician. He knows where to start and what to do. I been in same situation. Same with phono plugs vs balanced cords. Phonoplug(s) will easily do the same if hooked to amp/speakers.
