If I take this course what will I get? Downloadable videos?

its crazy to think that 70% of this video was UV unwrap, Im facinated on how well you mark those seams, watching this and just learning makes me really nervous about modeling something cool but in the end not being able to properly texture it

Hopefully you still get these new comments? I'm trying to learn Blender. I have a model of a truck, but the inner interior shell and seats, etc., are all non-manifold. Unfortunately, applying a mirror modifier wouldn't work, I wouldn't have thought. Any tips, or can I fix it with Boolean cube repair?

I don't know why so many people get their parties in a whad when these videos come out. Both are free. Both are good. Both do different things for different jobs. Who cares!!! I just want to know what the best things are out there I can use for a 3D printer and learn from for free! I will do both!!! How about that??? Plasticity and Blender. I have 2 options to learn and have fun with. Thank you to Both companies for making it free.

I found your last point extremely tone deaf. There is absolutely financial systemic inequality at play, people are not poor because it's their fault and the fact that someone in a poorer country can be successful doesn't mean that everyone for whom that price is financially inaccessible is playing victim. A ton of people in America are one emergency bill away from poverty and it's not because they didn't try hard enough. You could've made the same exact point of "make the best out of a crappy situation and work within what you have access to instead of giving up and complaining" without blaming poor people for being poor.
@themysteriousfox37673 күн бұрын
Let me remind you that a lot of Blender add-ons cost around $50-100, a lot more if you live in a country with a dollar that's not worth a lot compared to USD. A lot of people downloaded Blender because it was free and because they can't afford other 3D modelling programs. 3D modelling is objectively the most accessible it's ever been, but don't act like people who can't afford to drop that money on Blender add-ons are 100% the solely responsible for not being able to give more money to a hobby that's likely making them no income at all. I'm not saying people are somehow entitled to these add-ons because they can't afford them, I'm not even saying prices should be lower for these add-ons, I just hate the way that you framed this as blaming people for not having enough money like it's their fault. People are born rich too, you know, and they're not responsible for that either because they didn't have to do anything. That whole segment rubbed me the wrong way.

hey guys, how can I see the material colour while the viewport shading is on solid mode? I can see Josh does it, but mine is all grey. I'm using Blender 4.1.
@toddtj6 күн бұрын
Doesn't really cover all the needed material. I'm here based on the title for a basic guide, more than needing to know how to tweak the materials I need to know how to just basically render a scene. Trying to figure things out myself my entire render is solid gray. I think it's too zoomed out or something but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I thought I missed a step or something so I looked up a guide, followed yours, and my render is still nothing but a gray screen. Not a bad video really but not what I needed from something titled as it currently is.

Where this video was 2 months ago LOL... I was searching for broken shading and reflections for months now and just now I stumbled upon this... Google must be going wild with "most relevant" and shoves videos that are 10 years old in ancient Blender version LOL... Anyways, Thanks dude, this solved my reflection issue and now I can finally make some progress.

I just purchased a few Blender Bros tutorials using the Black Friday pricing. Having said this, I have not purchased the training course listed above. Within the 3 tutorials I did purchase, In all honesty, the tutorials you teach (you as the presenter) are the tutorials I have learned the most from. Your tutorials (the ones you present) are paced very well and you take the extra time to explain "Why" you are doing things. Much appreciated, extremely beneficial and in my opinion, great for beginners. I do appreciate the work it takes to create training material. I have been teaching CADCAM since the mid 1980s. The other presenter, much respect, also knows what he is talking about but his pace is extremely fast. Which is probably desirable if you're not a beginner and already know the functions of the required addons (again, I am referencing the 3 training courses I purchased and not the training course listed above). As a beginner to the Blender addons, this pace was extremely fast and I have to admit, frustrating at times. I actually had to walk away from these tutorials. I will continue to go back to the tutorials, slow the video playback down and learn as much as possible. I do agree, there is a lot of good info to learn there. In summary, the tutorials are packed with tons of information. The website design that provides the training videos is very well designed and a breeze to navigate. I have been using "Thinkific" for our CADCAM students but I really like the way your training webpage is setup (very nice). Thanks for all the info provided in your training.

The video's pretty great, here's the missing part, in order to finalize your render, you either go to "rendering" and then select "Render image" or, you press F12

Love this video; I'd have never thought to shrinkwrap! My usual approach is manually building triangles and mirror mode... and I figure since GPUs render triangles anyway, might as well triangulate everything, right? It takes hours though, and that's the part I need to fix. Thanks.
