there was an episode like that in Rebels with 3 elderly clone troopers including Rex. honestly, i want something else for 99th, something better than a last hoorah. this series heavily tried the narrative that soldiers don't have to be soldiers forever. so dying as soldiers or doing last mission will not do them justice imho.

I was apprehensive about this show after the mess that was The Acolyte, but the trailers convinced me this show had a chance. The best thing about this show is the sense of fun. It doesn’t take itself too seriously. I don’t think Star Wars has been this fun since at least 1983. Movies and shows are supposed to be entertaining and an escape from our daily lives. Skeleton Crew is doing that very well and I don’t want it to stop. Make Star Wars Fun Again!

Not sure where you're looking mate, but its #2 on RT and #3 on IMDB currently. I don't think it has to be in the top 10 to be a good story that is positively received by those who watch it, but it's ranking highly regardless. Cheers!

You didn't mention Andor, in which the third episode was crafted as the conclusion of an arc. Also, Andor suffered the "happy problem" of scheduling issues that _forced_ Disney to drop the first two episodes at once. If they had issued them one at a time as originally planned, that would have been a disaster. Actually, they should have released the first _three_ episodes at once to firmly hook the audience in one sitting. And Skeleton Crew should have also dropped the first three episodes at once. And that's part of the "third episode curse" right now. First, there seems to be no logic behind how they're dividing their story into episodes in most cases (Andor being a notable exception). Many people have said it's as though they created a long movie and then just arbitrarily hacked it into roughly half-hour sections. They don't seem to understand that even when it's a single story, each episode must still provide the audience with a distinct beginning, middle, and conclusion...but with enough story momentum to carry the audience to the next episode. That is an element of writing talent that they don't seem to have learned. But this isn't a new thing...shows like X-Files and Fringe have done it, and several others. It's what Andor did at least with its arc format, although Andor should have been released as five "movie events" instead of twelve episodes. BTW, so far Skeleton Crew is in my "like" category, having recognized it for what it is: A nostalgic take on 80s kids adventure movies, the way the first two seasons of The Mandalorean were a nostalgic take on the spaghetti Western.

I found it as average as anything else on “TV” in the past 5-10 years, although I particularly enjoyed Andor and the Mandalorian as fsr as SW goes. My bar for Star Wars was set after TLJ, as “don’t defy the existing lore,” with a hint of “canonize cool things from the EU,” and the first episodes of Skeleton Crew check both and leave me curious for the next episode, but I was not “wow’d,” if that makes sense.

I get it. I have largely let Star Wars go. I don't know if George Lucas was right when he said that Star Wars are movies for kids but it certainly has become a franchise for kids now, and in doing so it has abandoned its older audience. I think that's a great shame but if kids can find some happiness watching this show then I guess that's okay with me because as I've said, I've moved on by and large. Edit: And I encourage unhappy fans to also move on. If you don't like what Star Wars has become, don't give Disney any more money.

Why would a scene like this be in the clone wars show this is the darkest scene in all of Star Wars the clone wars show in particular and this scene just comes to show to prove that the way the Jedi operate is really fucked up and not to mention at least imo this scene is much darker than the purge movies I mean I like the purge movies they are only scary in a good and healthy way
