I'm not a huge grind guy or anyrhing, (mostly more interested in noisey garage stuff like the Stooges and some of the weirder hardcore of the last thirty years) But finding this documentary during the pandemic was definitely a highlight of the whole ordeal. Thanks for making this available to everyone for free during such a weird time.

i get that politics is inherent in punk and therefore is present in grind but barney between songs is so annoying, bag a wind

Great stuff. Too much A.C. and Seth content, but solid history nonetheless.

I think that Seth was the truth of the grindcore movement--a movement based around the idea of hate. And albeit lyrically that hate was directed towards the 'bad' actors/institutions of this world, it is still based on hate nonetheless. Which is why I think Seth was more of an empath (someone who actually internalizes the emotional atmosphere) than people realize. Having said that, I don't really listen to AC, but I feel like I understand where Seth was really coming from. In fact, I think that a lot of edgelords are actually just deeply closeted empaths who have a problem fitting in with insincere people.

Shit like this is why (modern popular) music will NEVER BE GOOD AGAIN. Anything cool that survives will be suppressed and denigrated by politically-correct agents embedded into scenes to co-opt them away from grass-roots dissident artists. The results will ALWAYS be this "documentary" which is just a list of approved talking heads seeking credibility while complaining about the progenitors. It's not a documentary, its an advertisement for SCENE-RUINERS who don't seem to know that GRIND-CORE did not come into being to be NICE (37:14).

It's sad that this documentary overlooked the contributions that AxCx made in favour of people just shit talking him after his death. They were such a great band, and what's the deal with being so offended in a genre that is known for having dark lyrics.

I wish that someone had made a proper doc on them. I did a three part thing on my channel with live clips and talking a bit. Someone was supposed to make something called "Faces Of Seth". But, as far as I know, nothing ever came of it.

Great job giving a completely irrelevant band like Cretin so much airtime just because they have a tranny. Would have been better mentioning bands like Blood or Assuck or asking Bill more about the firsr carcass album since he was featured. S.O.B. only got a passing reference too, despite dont be swindle coming out around the same time as scum. Most of bands featured in this doco are completely derivative and contribute nothing to what is essentially a dead genre.

Dude, get bent. Cretin rocks. So, what if the vocalist/guitarist is trans? Grow up.

A really good documentary but it wastes too much time on ANAL CUNT they are beyond shite & they've made no substantial contribution to anything. Fuck Seth Putnam. They could've given time to so many more deserving bands than those retards. Apart from that thank you for a cool film

Documentário muito bom, só senti falta de falar sobre a banda Brigada do Ódio do Brasil, uma das influências fortes do Napalm Death na fase de transição na metade dos anos 80. Os criadores do real Grindcore. Quando o termo não existia.
