One lives above me (3 story apt) one next door (he's older caught me breaking into my own house after I got locked out once. And the other is adjacent . I get stared at alot outside working on metal hah

Beautiful knife.

It's cool that you take the time and explain what you are doing, and why you are doing it. People just starting out making knives can learn a lot from your videos.

Everytime I try to sharpen a knife it ends up duller than when I started. Is there a fool proof sharpener anywhere on the market?

Have you ever made anything from the steel from a anvil? If so, was it hard to make the shape you wanted with your hammers?
@georgeburke63363 ай бұрын
That is really cool how you stretched the steel of the tang from about a inch to the length you needed it. That is a true art.
@georgeburke63363 ай бұрын
That is awesome thst you do everything by hand. You don't use one of those hydraulic press things. Doing everything by hand seems to be more natural. The way our fore fathers did it.

If you made a knife from the steel of a anvil, would that be a very strong blade?
@therainyforge3 ай бұрын
Not sure tbh, it would depend on what was used to make the anvil, tool steel perhaps?

That's a great looking knife! The flexibility is really underrated for a fillet knife. Any hrc measurements? You Q&T it?

For that one I decided to leave the heat treatment that was done on the bandsaw, exact HRC im unsure, but less than 60 and greater than 96
