I just passed CISSP today. Watched Mindmap all videos twice after I found the content is very concise and direct what to study. And I was right. If I found earlier, I would register the full course they offer. If anyone didn't start yet, go with their full couse. The ecam was all about "logical thinking" and Englsih what this course map offers.

Rob, I passed today. Big thanks to your mindmap series and 2024 update video. 2021 material is still very relevant. Cheers

good explanation. Question : Why would a CA issue a cert to 'Baddie' and what makes Alice reject a certificate issued by a trusted CA?

Great series, great video, and great presentation. I'd only like to address the concept of air-gapping as a means of physical segmentation. It's often seen as the "most secure" method of physical segmentation, but I think this has been debunked as a case of "security-by-obscurity". Air-gapped networks of yesteryear often end up no longer forever air-gapped, as sites install jump-boxes for remote access, or OPC connections for data historians, or routine import/export of project files from PLCs or SCADAs. This means that the originally totally isolated network is no longer isolated, as no site can escape the creep of technology into the secure OT realm. If anything, air-gaps prevent the automated updates and patches of systems that would protect them from vulnerabilities. There's obviously a balance, but in the grand scheme, over time, nothing will truly remain air-gapped forever.

Is there any specific technic to purge disk except encryption or zero writing? Zeo writing also leaves some data as well. This laptop has company data. If destruction ia not poasible for donation, I would select degausing. If disk is found to be unusuable, well then sorry but no chance for conpany data leak for donatiom which ia voluntary and not critical for business objectives. Answer should be degausing in my opinion

Our healthcare system sucks but Canada's healthcare is even worse when it comes to wait times, The annual Fraser Institute study this year reports a median wait time of 27.4 weeks for Canadians to get treatment after a family doctor referral. It showed that you have to wait over 100 days for a hip replacement! That's insane to sit around in pain for that long.

Pizza: The fact that the number of pizza deliveries can be used to predict certain events or behaviors is a prime example of a covert channel. A covert channel is a communication method that is not intended for information transfer at all, yet it can reveal or transmit hidden data. In this case, by analyzing patterns in pizza deliveries, one could potentially infer or predict unrelated and non-obvious information, such as the occurrence of specific events or changes in human activity.

at 8:06, Alice is said to decrypt the certificate from the baddie using the CA's public key. but how is this possible? the Baddie doesn't have the CA's private key and could only encrypt the bogus certificate with its own private key. Then how could Alice decrypt the certificate with the CA's public key? im confused

Hey Rob, I have gone through multiple resources from all the CISSP instructors out there I find your to be more useful but Indian students cant afford the subscription as it’s too pricy for us. I know there is a $200 a month subscription but is there a way you can consider reducing the coast a little bit. Pleas reply to [email protected]. Or watsapp/call +91 8939527774
