Cool stuf impresive as always but for me is more hardstep (hardstyle+dubstep) than raw cause base with snares intro its like more dubstep or drumn bass than hardstyle but combined with that euphoric melody thats why it seems to me more hardstep. Drop its obviously raw bur with hardstep intro for me isnt contrast enough to maximice the drop in a powerful development in contrasting. So really cool everything but as you can see for me its more hardstep and drop its a beat weak for 1 part build. Anyways its a amazing work and really love it anyways❤ my like for this stuff❤
@LarkeyFactorial9 сағат бұрын
it's called dubstyle, and hardstep was a name that existed since 1994

Oi I wouldnt mind watching how you do kicks. When you mentioned that theres really only one kick that you use xD I think I only use 1 or 2 kicks myself.. But I also love perspective and learning how people do things. Never know what ya can learn. Plus if its something you do decide to do - its just added to your arsenal of YT content.

When will we get making hardstyle in 1 week ( unedited ) ?
@Sawer4 күн бұрын
Oeh that is a really fun idea! Unedited tends to not work on youtube. Very low views per minute sorta, so that kills stats. But that does work on patreon, could do that in a free tier and upload the edited stuff here:)

nice one, but at the end of the day isn't it easier to make a better mix to begin with not to have to do this much sidechaining just by mastering and smart layering?
@Sawer28 күн бұрын
Well, yes and no. Trash in, trash out is what does most for mixing like you said. Smart choises in sound selection dictate like 80% of your actual sound so yeah, its definitly hugely important to layer smart. Mastering however is widely misunderstood, mastering makes your mix actually less clean. Its mostly making it loud and balanced. But a mix doesnt get more clean with one. (It might with stems mastering but that is less common) Sidechaining punches and other mixing tricks are there to push the other 20% of your mixdown to its maximal potential. Create room for sounds that by their nature will clash with eachother. With more room for the elements you can also master it louder without the song sounding weirdly compressed. Then the reverb/delay sidechaining actually doesnt help with getting a clean mix, that almost is its own instrument. Without it a lot of modern hardstyle melodies do not work. The sidechaining allows you to use wayy bigger reverb/delay without drowning the actual leads themselves. But it also creates more of a mess for your kicks to push through. I think you asked a very good question, thats why the wall of words lol. Hope this cleared some of it up but if you disagree or if you have a follow up question feel free to reply with it here or in the Discord <3
@css17228 күн бұрын
Nice tutorial! Do you always have reverb and delay on your chords as well?
@Sawer28 күн бұрын
This goes on my full lead stack. My lead stack includes anything that follows the same rhythm as the melody. So chords and harmonies are included :)
