Good Video, You do pretty much what i do but formatted differently, i do reverb and delay in 1 mixer channel, and usually i add a stereo shaper to get thicc reverb and delay
@Sawer7 ай бұрын
Oeh I gotta try that out, thanks for the tip :D

So interesting to see how people does it. My chain is a bit weird. All lead synths routes to a single channel, add OTT (or other compression) to the dry signal, low cut, then something for the brightness (I recommend fresh air). I then route this dry signal to my reverb and and delay channel, and then merge them all in a bus, and add sidechain compression to the end of the chain.

Oeh I gotta check out this Fresh Air :D

Why are u using a shortened kick sample to sc the Lead Bus after addding rev and delay? Could you not just use a lfo tool or kickstart to get that same effect? Great video tho that part just confused me a bit! Keep it up man
@Sawer7 ай бұрын
The sample is an easy way to make it trigger on kickrolls. I should definitly redo my sidechaining video lol!

I'm a bit confused, in the end there should be: full harmony (all 3 lines) as one sound top line, different sound 1 middle line, different sound 2 bottom line, different sound 3 ? and all of those playing together? Not sure if i got that right. You also seem to be having 6 different tracks playing together in the end, so I think I'm missing something here. Any response would be super appreciated :)
@Sawer7 ай бұрын
So I got these all playing together: - Main leads (10-11-12) these play the melody and form the main character/vibe - Full harmony (13) this plays chords made around every melody note. This can be seperateded in two more lines - Harmonic support (14-15) these are lines seperated from the full harmony and really add richness. All of this plays together for the big sound :) I plan to do a video on harmonies in specific :)
@M4A1Speedstar7 ай бұрын
@@Sawer So in the end, the main leads are all different sounds that fit together and play the exact same melody. Then the full harmony are the chords which are another sound, and the harmonic support are the middle and bottom lines so to say which are also different sounds from the full harmony. In the end there should be 6 different lead sounds?

Can we get a video about your mix/master routine? I got a few questions already: When mixing and gainstaging, do you try to get to around -6db and just add that back during the mastering process? Or is that bad advice i just internalised? How loud should i push my track in the end? I know my drops should hit around -0.1 db but how much quieter should i keep the other parts of the song? What levels of dynmic range should i stride for in my final master? Hope you can help a new producer out! Cheers mate!
@Sawer7 ай бұрын
@@georgthormann4362 when mixing I aim between -6 and -3. The advice you got is good! Definitly good idea to do a video or two on this, might do a video collab with a mastering expert:)
