Sound makes a huge difference, I use a 1999 receiver with 4 speakers and it sounds very good. I might upgrade the speakers now that I'm leaving in a house far away and I can make a lot of noise😁

Yes, you can enable Module HDR ON on the service menu for more SDR brightness to use BFI. Otherwise use Dynamic tone mapping Mastering Peak Maxcll to match the Maxcll of the HDR content. With RTX HDR you can get the best results increasing the overall brightness without washing out the colors too much. We also have MajorPainTheCactus Add-on

@@Phoenix-zm5gv if you're on the C1/C2 ai picture pro helped boost sharpness but you had to turn off allm which is a no go. On the C3 and higher sharpness worked really well and upscaled much better than the previous models, the default setting in game mode on the C3 was 25.

@@beammeupscottsp7952 on my tv it is same, but it is still not enough for most of the ps5 games, since they are not native 4k and they do not have advanced upscaling methods like pc has. In addition, I disable vrr and allm because without them processing is much better, so this is kind of like pick your poison. What settings you use yourself ? Do you use 25 for all games? I try to adjust sharpness for each game individually

@@plasmatvforgaming9648 That's a good mentality to have. I really think you should consider stepping away from OLED and giving mini LED a try. You can buy the 65" Hisense U8N for $999, and it literally goes blow for blow with the Bravia 9. Go to Rtings compare and put in Bravia 9 and U8N-you'll be amazed at what you see. The Hisense has 1600 local dimming zones and a 260,000:1 contrast ratio. Black level is so close to OLED that you will hardly notice a difference when engaged in content. It can also hit over 3600 nits in specular highlights and maintain 1,000 nits on a 100% window. Your C1 cannot even hit 1,000 nits in specular highlights! My point is that HDR performance is so vastly different between OLED and mini LED that it might as well be a completely different format. I have a Samsung S90D QD OLED in my bedroom, and when I saw HDR on my U8N, it felt like I was seeing real HDR for the first time. It is just such a different experience. Also, color gamut and color volume coverage are vastly better on mini LED compared to OLED, so color production is also way better. The whole experience is much improved. You get excellent performance in both bright and dark room environments with outstanding brightness stability and peak brightness capabilities-features that OLED tech lacks.
