All you had to do was use the panel tool and pop the outside cover right off please don’t do it this way

Hey, this is Johny from Canada. I just want to say Thnx You! My gf has a 2019, & I thought she broke the handle! It didn't open, just loose, in & out. I took a look, & thought for sure "something' inside there is broken. YOUR Video helped get me on the right track..! That 'thing' you have to hook back. I guess her tumbler became loose..I dunno, but after I figured out hooking that thing back on, as you showed, & tightening the tumbler..{Drivers side} It NOW Works! So, thnx so much. God Bless..!

I’m having similar problem. My friend’s endcap behind the handle fell off, I found it a parking lot, and I want to put it back in, but the handle is not operating the latch and I can’t get the handle to close all the way flush, nor all the way forward. so I’m wondering if the Inside is broken, or if I just need to figure out how to get the handle to engage with the latch. . Any thoughts or suggestions on that?

This has to be the worse engineering I've ever seen to have to do all this for 1 light. Forget about it! I will go buy one of those sticky lights with a little button and stick it in the glove compartment. Total insanity. Whoever engineered that belongs in pre-school again to start over their learning. I respect Japanese engineering, but this is very stupid. Good video dude, but I'm not going through all that for 1 light.

If you take of the interior trim center piece behind it, there are service holes to unclip it from the inside, with a flat tip screw driver.

Just a head up if your changing it for the red on top and clear on the bottom make sure you put some masking tape on the bottom end to protect the black moulding. In your videos you have a chrome which is more slippery and not that easy to scratch. I end up scratching mine when putting new one back on because I have no chrome there anyway hope this help someone cheer

Hello there! I did it just now. After you removed the cover, there is a size 10 nut to remove. After the nut is removed, u can gentle pull it out from the side as there is a white clip there on the light module.

The chrome bowl that prevents scratches at door handle area. How do you install them flush onto body panel? Cos i got same from AliExpress but the double sided tape not strong to keep the chrome piece to stick onto car body panel.

Hi, thank you for your support and comment. You might need to replace the tape with original 3M automotive adhesive tape and surface promoter. It will work much better than just tape alone. After application, need to stay dry for at least 12 hours before it can get wet. Cheers.

It's a well produced video but not the correct way to remove this light. Lift the tail gate remove the plastic trim at the top that's behind the light. Begin at one end it pops off when pulling gently. Behind this there are holes lined up with the metal tabs. They can be pressed in and slightly moved one by one so the bottom is released. Then lower the tail gate and use plastic tools to gently prise the light forward from the bottom. Take your time and it will come out easy.

Thanks for the video, helpful! Would be interested in learning more about your LED indicator-bulbs in the rear and front. Plug and play or did you have to add canbus-resistors etc.?

Hi M J, thank you for comment and support. The LED indicator bulbs inside front and rear clusters do need to add a capacitor or CANBUS adaptor to prevent rapid flashing. My personal choice are Philips or JW Speakers LED bulbs. Cheers.
