I wouldn't watch a Charles angels film if the doors were left open and they gave me popcorn and coke for free!... Its a boring film simply because I'm not interested and even if the stars were men I wouldn't go!!!... Not everything is about identity politics, it's about not wanting to be bored for 2 hours that I'll never get back!! 😬

Not a big fan of the Nolan trilogy. Gotham City looked so bland. It’s not like Burton’s Gotham City that just oozes with gothic atmosphere and memorable set design. It just looks like your average city. Nothing about it stood out for me. Christian Bale’s performance was great, but as Bruce Wayne. As Batman I’ll give him this, he held this sort of eerie and intimidating presence that you would want from Batman. However, the combat for me was just atrocious, looked more like the characters were fighting against their own elbows. Bale’s Batman voice was and still is horrendously ridiculous and albeit funny, but that’s not what I look for in a Batman film. Finally, if there’s one thing I can’t stand with Christopher Nolan films, it’s how characters talk and explain everything… like seriously the writing doesn’t even try to be subtle or give you room to think and ponder on what people are saying, they just flat out tell you in excruciating detail what they are about and what motivates them. Now for some scenes this worked, for example the interrogation scene between Batman and Joker, but for scenes like Alfred explaining to Bruce what kind of character the Joker is, I’d rather they had shown that. For example, in a video game, Arkham Origins, we’re not told how twisted the Joker is, we’re shown this simply by Batman walking through a hotel to find bodies everywhere, most even mounted and made into props. Then Batman eventually talks to Alfred saying how he’s dealt with psychopaths before but that this brought it to a level he’s never seen before. In the Dark Knight, we are shown things that make the Joker Twisted, but then we also get tons and tons of dialogue explaining things about the character that we’ve already seen and it drives me crazy. I’m not a fan of how Nolan tells stories, they feel more like novels than films and films strive in being able to tell stories from mannerisms and actions. Movies strive in showing you things rather than telling you. And for me, it feels as though Nolan really likes telling you things. Finally, I’m not a big fan of origin stories. Never have been. It worked for Batman Begins, but I still didn’t like it that much. I don’t really need it spelled out to me how a character began. Which is why I loved the more recent Matt Reeves The Batman. We’re not given an origin story, we’re put right into a couple years deep into Batman’s career. We’re not shown how he got to this point, we’re for once just shown the cool stuff. I haven’t been as entertained by a Batman film since The Dark Knight or Batman 1989. I would argue The Batman gave us a better than Batman than the Nolan Trilogy ever could. The action in that film was fantastic, the story was gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat, not once was I ever bored while watching the film. Though I will give some people credit, the climax of the film wasn’t needed. In fact I would argue it kinda derails what the motivations of the Riddler were in that he was trying to expose the corruption of Gotham’s elite and punishing those guilty of said corruption. Flooding the city and killing civilians made no sense in my opinion. But the action balanced it out it for me. All in all, I didn’t enjoy the Nolan Trilogy nearly as much as I did Matt Reeves newer Batman film.

There are what i consider 3 diffwrent versions of dead pool. There is the anti hero dead pool from his earlier comics who was a self hating man who may not want to be a good guy but despite what he thinks has a heart of gold he may not be ethical but, his jokes and 4th wall breaks are a coping mechenism for the fact he is actually in a lot of pain and as much as he pokes the 4th wall the knowlege he is a comic book charater brings him dread and a feeling nothing matters. Then there is the more recent era which is the goofy dead pool who lacks the emotional depth of the og dp. Dp's 4th wall awareness was initially just a implied trait he had that increasingly became clear. This time he is talking to the comic text littwrally and he is a schittsophrenic. He is just focased on creating chaos. He is pretty much a walking meme at this point. He can be funny but, it lacks the depth he once had. Now wade isnt this guy compensating for his pain. Then there is ryan reynalds dp which is a median of the two. He more resembles the wade that doesnt want to be seen as a hero and is joking to cope with insecurity. Its not like the older comics but, dp in the movies ironically is more true to the charaters roots than the recent comics. The ryan reynalds dp is closer to the dp that isnt a complete walking meme

the movie is god awful, but its because of the characters, plot, and themes. The ableism is kind of there because the villain girl doll or whatever had a disability(her voice box was broken), and the movie basically said "You should fix your disability, or else people wont love you!" like it would have been SO much better if the kid liked the doll villain even with a broken voice box(kind of like Venelope from Wreck It Ralph)

Black Panther is a class of racist films that are excused by having black actors. It is like Coming To America, but where that movie was an attempt at being funny, it wasn't; Black Panther and Wakanda Forever were written by people who have never looked at a map of or even read a National Geographic issue about Africa. So many of the images of Waconda are cultural appropriations from real people, and the use of their history and culture is sickening. Like Zamunda in Coming To America, Wakanda is a candy-coated white fantasy filled with stereotypical characters in a story that depends on an audience to be as stupid as the plot. 😎
@Yourmom-m7s2 ай бұрын
The comics said it takes studying and training to become the panther. All of that is cut off from the movie and it makes getting the black panther power look not interesting at all and not as badass as it sounds. The writers made T’challa bland and replaceable and made Killmonger look like a freaking supremacist and tried to justify his racism towards white people.
