So the knob would be a better purchase of they included the patch cable. Because once I add in the patch cable I'm better off buying the better control knob that actually goes to my amp. 😅

How would you wire the speakers with a crossover needed for the mid-range in the door and tweeter in the A-pillar? And where would you mount the crossover? I would be using the PAC - LPHFD31 T-Harness for factory radio. I also plan to install the LOC - LC51 PRO and Audio Control AMP D-5.1300

Why spend more money on a harness that doesn’t let you use the fade control. My had an aftermarket Boss head unit with a Metra harness when I purchased the vehicle. It was connected to the factory amp and the fade worked properly. I just installed a Kenwood head unit with a new Metra harness, but the fade control is now gone. I also noticed that the access/metra harness for the Boss radio was for a 2007 Chrysler not a 2006.

Thank you, we just had an aftermarket head unit installed, when quoted we were told no problem keeping all factory features including the rear entertainment. This was a main focus on the purchase, after installation they said there are no products to support the rear entertainment, so im not overly impressed with the update and service from our installation company. The deck has the aux plugs so this should be possible. Im assuming they didn't have the additional module or harness. This is a very helpful video for anyone prior to shopping with suppliers.

I've been wanting to install a compact sub woofer in my 2000 tacoma, but would like it under the passenger seat. I noticed there's a little less room under the passenger side. Is that why you went on the driver side? I don't think it would fit on the passenger side.
