I hate this machine. Agitator is too slow and clothes are not clean

We used to have that exact washer, but we had to put it at the dump because it wasn’t spinning the gear thing wouldn’t let it spin, but we have a GE now

I do really love these washers but the only thing I could think it would be wrong as the motor didn't sound really good but other than that this washer performed really good

Give me a vintage Fridgidaire with the pulse agitator and rapid dry aaaany day over this one!! Yeah it's got all the bells and whistles, but what's up with the stop and go during the spin? Granted, it does have a lil get up and go once it finally gets going, what is it 710 rpms max??. That ain't too bad, but no spray rinse?, the overflow thing I know is obsolete, but that rapid dry from back in the day, was the shizznit!!!..and its loud too!! All that buzzing and whirring, sounds like a damn alarm clock!!

It works fine. It’s just the agitator dogs are bad.

Is it a well balanced machine? Does the outer unit shake or does it stay put?

Great washer, but it has the brain of a 2011 whirlpool washer because whirlpool owns 60% of washer companies.

I would prefer a Maytag washer

There is a speed Queen washer that is not just black on the control panel but it's black on the bottom and top and it's a top load washer you should find all the model that is and share it with everyone please respond back

Are there still parts available for these machines if they require repair since they were discontinued after such a short production run? I was so disappointed that Bosch and Miele didn’t find success with American sized machines.

It might not have completed the cycle but it did do an excellent job of clearing the soil out of the blanket. That said the Electrolux front loader is about as good as washing machines get in all areas at all tasks of doing laundry. I trust my clothes and linens in the Electrolux and since I’ve had mine I don’t think I’ve needed to replace a single piece of clothing in the ten years I’ve had it. My wardrobe keeps growing and I’ve donated some clothing that still looked new.

Kirk, a woman who I cleaned for at one time had one like this. She put a load in before she left for work about 8:30am one day and the timer locked up during the spin and it was still spinning when she got home about 6pm. She said the clothes were dry, wrinkled but dry 😂

I want to try something a little interesting for that Machine. My requests: 1.) Overloaded Test on Normal (Regular - 10) with Extra High Water Level & Warm/Warm with Auto Temp Control (Alongside seeing how the Machine’d hold up, I also want to see for the Main Wash portion if it’s gonna do a full slow agitation or if it’s gonna do a 2-minute fast agitation, then do the slow agitation for the rest, when the Timer advances to Knit - 8.) 2.) 2-Blanket Test on Heavy Duty (Super - 14) with Extra High Water Level & Warm/Warm with Auto Temp Control (Optional 2ND Rinse)

You have to keep in mind that these machines are designed to use the new High Efficiency Detergents so they don't need to wash the clothes in deep water. HE Detergents are concentrated and low sudsing so the machine washes and turns the clothes in a pool of wash water that is more highly concentrated than older machines that washed in deep water and used high sudsing detergent. HE detergents are low sudsing so they require less water to rinse. The New HE Detergents are what changed the way the machines wash clothes and are just as effective as the old machines and detergents. Just make sure you are using the correct amount of HE detergent for the load size and don't overfilll the machine with laundry.

I wish they didn't change the washer. I miss the old whirlpool thin twin 😢

My parents had a washer like this. A workhorse. When washing machines were washing machines! Oh, how I wish I had one now.

I grew up with this washer and I am familiar with it. And there were two or three of them in my family (one in my immediate family (parents), one on my father side of the family (1990), and the other one on my mother side of the family (1993), all three were great workhorses without fail). I’d get one again and have it rebuilt without question. Great Machines, no question about that. -Charles-
