The George Jetson of 1960s doesn't sound anything like the 80's version of the show. Even though the same actor supplies of the voices of the 60's version and 80's variation of the character, George O'Hanlon. When I saw the 80s version of the JETSONS in 1985, this George Jetson sounded so different from the original 60's show, I thought another actor was doing his voice. I was surprised it was the same voice actor.

According to Guinness Book, he also wrote the song with the longest title: "I'm a Cranky Old Yank, in a Clanky Old Tank, in the Streets of Yokohama, With My Honolulu Mama, Doin' Those Beat-O, Beat-O, Flat on My Seat-O, Hirohito Blues." He wrote it in 1943.

Years ago I had a speaking gig at our, which lasted 10+ year. Once a month, i spoke for 5 minutes about missions outreach of our church. In time, I developed good presentations and got very comfortable with public speaking. What I began to notice was the feeling of power I got, looking at 200 people, knowing what I just said had landed well with them. It is a great feeling to experience. One morning after service, one of the members approached me and said, "you are getting good enough to be dangerous." At first I took it as a compliment, which it may have been. But I quickly understood the deeper warning in that compliment. I am not defending this "preacher", but I understand how they can get this way. Have friends who will tell you the truth.

I watched this new, as a child, and recall many of the eps that had celebs as guests, and also those of Fred singing on stage. This cartoon is a classic.

People today forget that "The Jetsons" was a prime time cartoon intended for ADULTS. Yes,there was a time when adult animation wasnt crude, poorly drawn, perverted degenerate crap like "family guy" and the rest. This just illustrates how much society has gown downhill since 1962.

I would like to see more primetime cartoons that aren't crude, poorly drawn, perverted, degenerated, and/or inappropriate.

Betty Jane Baker gives an "out of this world" performance as Jane Jetsons singing voice. She was married to Barney Kessel at the time this session was recorded and Barney Kessel plays electric guitar on thos piece!
