Just purchased a copy of this vinly record today at a thrift store near Detroit. Knew I'd find it on KZbin. Thanks for posting the recording. His ministry proves it's not how you fall, but how you get up and reset your course that matters. 🙏🏼

Sadly, Jimmy is still surrounded by bitter board members who discouraged him from accepting an offer from the Assemblies of God about 4 years ago for complete restoration of his ordination with them.

Bond Bowman was the pastor of Brightmoor Tabernacle in 1970. The Rev. Tom Trask later became pastor, then Michigan District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, then General Treasurer, and later, the General Superintendent of the General Council of the A/G in Springfield, Missouri. Rev. Brad Trask is now pastor, and Brightmoor Tabernacle has undergone a name change.

I heard this song performed on Rev/Pastor Garland Faw's TV show back in the 60s or so. It was a quartet or quintet with great accompaniment! I bought it from them on a 45 rpm disc that, after a lifetime, I have lost. I would buy it again if I could or pay to just hear it. Other groups have done it but they lack the terrific harmony and the musicality (if that's the right word) of the guitar riffs. Rest in Peace, Pastor Faw. You gave this Jewish woman a lasting musical memory.

I remember how that old-fashioned preachers used to preach the gospel strict, straight, stern and strong. Now, you're lucky if ya hear any of this kind of old-fashioned preaching at all! Little by little, the Devil found ways to eliminate true old-fashioned preaching and singing gospel hymns. Now, in most churches, all you hear is love, love, love, and no repentance. The sacred hymns have been replaced with so-called Christian rock. There is no such thing as Christian rock! That junk is of the devil! Let's go back to the old landmarks of the Holiness of God's word, and also, let's dump the junky, trash that we call Christian rock, and let's sing songs, Psalms, and spiritual songs, just like the Bible says to!!!!!

My Dad tried to teach me about the dangers of "strange incense" around my teenage years, but unfortunately I had already been snared by some of Satan's lies at an even earlier age....i am not offended now by strong, Truthful preaching anymore because God's power not only faithfully, lovingly carried me through 20 years of "broken relationships and pornography addiction, but He is still carrying me as I find His peace and His salvation daily from sin as I seek His Son....There is no doubt on my mind that Mr. Wilkerson wholeheartedly and single-mindedly sought after Jesus Christ every day....His sermons remind me that I am not helpless because of Jesus's Love for me and that precious Love's ability to fill me with confidence and strength to get up and follow Him in His Spirit's strength day by day and hopefully, increasingly moment by moment and hour by hour.

"Beautiful To Me" by Don Francisco - Luke 7:44-50 Crowds were in the streets that day When Jesus came to town All the synagogue was there And more from miles around So I asked Him home to dinner So I could see what I could see Of this famous local Prophet From here in Galilee And I don't know just how that woman Got into the room But you couldn't miss her gaudy clothes And her strong and sweet perfume She went straight to Jesus' feet And stopped and stood right there And then cried and wet His feet with tears And dried them with her hair Now of all the women in my town None was more well known For the flagrant scent she'd left them And the wickedness she'd sown But He didn't move to stop her It seemed this Prophet couldn't tell That the woman who was touching Him Was the kind they buy and sell And I had no idea just what this Jesus planned to do When He said Simon, there's somethin' I need to say to you So I said, Teacher, if it's on Your mind then tell me what you will But as He began to speak to me, the room grew quickly still He said, take a good look at this woman now In spite of all her fears, She's kissed me, and anointed me And washed my feet with tears She's honored me And you've been only rude to me instead You gave no kiss of greeting And no anointing for my head And her sins were red as scarlet But now they're washed away The love and faith she'd shown Is the price she has to pay For the depth of God's forgiveness It's more than you can see And in spite of what you think of her She's beautiful to me Well my anger flamed to hatred I wanted nothing more Than to take this Prophet by the throat And throw Him out the door To act like God, forgiving sins And then speak so to me As itinerant from Nazareth And backwards Galilee But instead I sat and trembled Shaken to the core, The woman still was weeping As she knelt there on the floor Jesus turned to her Said your chains have been released Your faith has saved you from your sins Rise and walk in peace Your sins were red as scarlet But now they're washed away The love and faith you've shown Is all the price you have to pay For the depth of God's forgiveness It's deeper than the sea And no matter what the world may think You're beautiful to me Your sins were red as scarlet But now they're washed away The love and faith you've shown Is all the price you have to pay For the depth of God's forgiveness It's deeper than the sea And no matter what the world may think You're beautiful to me Your sins were red as scarlet But now they're washed away The love and faith you've shown Is all the price you have to pay For the depth of God's forgiveness It's deeper than the sea And no matter what the world may think You're beautiful to me

O Lord, please have mercy on our society, to those who are deeply in need of Your touch! We desperately pray for Your supernatural intervention in the lives of the abused, the mentally disturbed and demon possesed, the homeless, the street kids, the drug addicted, the victims of every sort of violence including the sexually abused; Lord, we plead, have mercy on us all and do what it takes to break our hearts for our sins and rebellion. We have greatly transgressed against You. To us belong shameness of face. Bring me to humiliation for my sins and inactions and for the time I have wasted. I am unclean and undone! Lord Jesus, help us to stand. We look to You-our only hope; we need You. Lord help! We trust You and wait only on You.
