Thanks…. Especially the border and just adding an extra stitch to even the numbers You also helped me understand how and why I’ve struggled with initial border base and skipping the open stitch below caused the hole to sorta cinch up…. I too did a longer yarn to close up holes that were not wanted and made my project lop sided with the open holes. Now I know I did t do anything wrong it’s just part of crocheting and being creative to even out the work….

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love your video! You’ve explained everything so beautifully and in such great detail. If you could also include how to weave in the extra threads, that would be super helpful for beginners like me. But overall, I truly loved it-thank you!

I don’t have 6.5m so I’m using a 6m is it going to change the pattern a lot or am I gonna be fine?
@jototheworldcreations3 күн бұрын
Using a 6.00 mm hook should be fine and shouldn't change it much at all. :)

I've finished making my first tissue box cover today. I made it in a camel colour and placed to crocheted flowers in cream colour on the top, one on either side of the opening. It turned out gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for your pattern and for your great tutorial ❤ I just wanted to say that I added 10 extra chains to the 28 you had in your pattern and widened the top sides with a couple of extra rows because I found they were narrow...

I also had problems with blanket side being slanted. I have taken apart and restarted multiple times, I get to about 6" and can visibly see it getting progressiively smaller even though my stitch numbers seem to be correct. I have tried using a larger hook to start, thinking my starting chain was too tight but had the same results. Tried a sample of 10 rows and had the same result, very noticiable on the one side. Any ideas
@jototheworldcreations15 күн бұрын
Hello and I'm sorry to hear this. I had this blanket extensively tested and none of the testers experienced any issues (and I made the blanket multiples times and it was perfectly straight on both sides). Each row in this pattern have the exact same number of stitches and given that, the blanket should not be smaller on one side. The only reason for this I can think of is an accidental incorrect stitch count, or perhaps starting or ending in the wrong place? Are you sure you are working into the first stitch on each row, the stitch attached to the chain? And the last stitch is worked into the last stitch in the row? And for sure you have 54 stitches in each row? Or, if you made a sample, ensuring each row has the same number of stitches? I really want to help but I can't replicate the issue on my end.

Hm, even when using a 8mm hook with 6-7 yarn my work doesn’t measure 3inches across after the second row and I really do loose stitches 🤔
@jototheworldcreations15 күн бұрын
Hmmm, that's interesting. I wonder if you kept going, if your toe size would increase more and perhaps match the second measurement listed in the pattern: After Toe Round 4, work (when folded) should measure 4.5” wide and 2.5” high ? Different brands of yarn can be quite different and I'm wondering if yours is much smaller than what I used?

Thank you so much. My late mom used to crochet bibs for new babies in the family and no one else was doing it after she passed so this helped me connect to the things she did without being too complicated and I have just sent one off to Guernsey for my little niece - all the way from South Africa. Thanks!
