Boy, you and I are so different when it comes to work history. Other than the jobs I had when I was still in school, mY main career was with the same outfit for 36 years.

Great story Eddie. I have always said we have a best seller book inside of us only if we would write it. My youngest sister worked for the Guitar Center for years until her death a few years ago. She loved her job there. Thanks for the memories. 🙏🏻

Cigar smoker here dabbling with pipe smoking now. My tongue doesnt burn during smoking but the next morning it does sting. Is that the same thing/reason?

Probably so. It's a delayed effect for some people. Kind of like a sunburn, which sometimes hurts much more the next day. So you can think of paper pipe filters as comparable to SPF 15, balsa filters to SPF 30, and charcoal filters to SPF 60. Depends on the person and/or the situation as to which would work better for you.

Another stellar work history video Eddie ! With all the workers leaving the IT type positions you would think someone would put 2 and 2 together and realize something was wrong.

Well, there was talk of them outsourcing the entire department, so I don't think the upper executives cared all that much. They actually put me on an advisory board to interview contracting companies to outsource our help desk people, as a test bed. If that had gone well (it didn't), they might have done the same for the Network Ops people. I didn't get into all of that in the video, but yeah, it was a scary time.

I could certainly make a whole video series about our time there together! We might be the only ones who watched it, though. I figured you'd be a bit disappointed with this video because it would exclude so much. But yeah, we had a lot of good times, man!

Well, I don't have a Pipe Nook Discord, so that's why you can't find it. I have such a hard time as it is keeping up with my KZbin channel. My Facebook page and Instagram hardly ever get touched these days. Can't imagine starting on another social media platform, honestly.

The white elephant 6mm filters are very restrictive in my Savinelli 345 but there's never any tongue bite. I also use homemade balsa filters. Savinelli and White elephant are very good 9mm filters with Savinelli filters coming out cleaner and can be reused many times. Just stay away from Vauen junior filters.

I went to a Christian school that was in a church for 7th grade and we had a young associate pastor teaching Bible class. By the end of the school year that poor guy was pulling his hair out. He once told my class that we ruin his day and he wished he had never taken the job.

Happy anniversary! I have had a few managers like that. It doesn't cost anything to be nice to people and show them you value their work. And you end up with some loyal employees and a low stress work environment. I don't know why this is so hard for some people to understand. Great story! 😀

I was a substitute teacher for just a few weeks after graduating college. Confirmed my decision not to teach, at least younger folks. Now university level was a whole different ballgame. I loved teaching Calculus. My wife was a teacher, too. She took early, unpaid retirement😂

I know exactly what you mean with delivering pizzas. The funny thing is, it’s actually a fairly decent gig pay wise. I had about less than a year doing it as a moonlighting job after college. There’s been a few times over the years I thought about doing it again when money was tight, never have.

Enjoying this series very much! You’ve had such a varied career experience. I’m a teacher. Started at 22 years old, now 58 and still teaching and love it, but it’s not for everyone. Taught junior high when I started and it was quite a roller coaster. 😂 Now am an international teacher having lived and taught in 6 different countries. Not sure I would have made it all this time in U.S. public schools. Look forward to continuing to hear more from you.

To oversimplify: SWR has a very pleasant cocoa-like topping, very light. Granger has a warm Grape-nuts taste with a slight drizzle of molasses. They're both excellent and I switch off frequently between the two.

Not smoking the last 1/3 of the tobacco then you are bite proof. You can inhale (can don't mean I do) the top 1/3 of the bowl without coughing. The ph level goes way goes down towards the bottom. The flavor of the tobacco also diminishes towards the buttom.

I can totally relate to a supervisor not being understanding with you having your first born at home. I had a supervisor that liked me until I had my first kid and something switched where they were just rude to me from there on out. She was out to get me and would talk to HR about me over nothing…

The jump from $6 to $10 and free lunch ..... how can you say no. What exactly is an LLC ?
@ThePipeNook
@ThePipeNook 16 сағат бұрын
Limited Liability Corporation. It's basically a legal separation between you as an individual, and your business. Although come tax time, there's no real difference between you and the business. An LLC from my understanding gives you a bit more protection as a business owner versus just being a sole proprietor, but not all the rules and regulations required of an S-Corp. It gets complicated. :)
