You are a vegan? How hard is it to get proper food at the refuleing stations? I know sugar is the most important, but on these distances you also want propper food. What about this whem doing PBP?

I love it when you wear your TT kit, reminds me of Ski Sunday. High quality nose drip at 5:25 with prysmic image of West Country sunrise. Gravity chat low quality, latest science says gravity is not constant.

Nice! I think I passed you and the ACB massive riding through Congresbury yesterday. I wanted to shout something witty about Jimny’s and dirt, but got stage fright and panicked. Managed to avoid gout though so that’s something I suppose.

Thought this was 'Bill's Easton Connection' when I saw the Strava map - did that a few years ago and it does a similar route. The whole morning everyone was talking about Gold Hill, it turned out to be one of the easier climbs of the day! My experience doing a couple of years in a row of Belgian cobbled climbs with a massive Carradice might have helped though....

Probably uses some similar roads, Malc was in charge of routing!

I'm always amazed how few cyclists use the word "gooch". Monosyllabic, fits our needs perfectly. Went through two outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis when I lived in Bangor. The whole town was making its acquaintance with the eye of a needle for a full week. Definitely best avoided.
@adamwatkins2 ай бұрын
Eek! Sounds best avoided, that crypto

The reality is, 90% of cyclists on these trips are ego maniacs, and in it for personal self promotion. Absolute scum to leave you behind, some club........

Tried to follow the 'never pedal hard' advice on our 600km/8000D+ from Chartres last weekend. The only problem was that with so many hills ran out of gears a few times ! After 450km walked up quite a few. I was in a group of 6 which helped a lot, we all complained at the same time when we came to yet another hill. Even the 3% were considered steep towards the end and speed was non-existant ! Once the hills were all done we had 50km more or less flat to get back to Chartres with the wind in our backs. Hallelujah ! But nothing's perfect... a deluge hit us and we finished properly soaked !
@grahamphillips30994 ай бұрын
Aaah, so that's why roadies put Watt meters on their bikes, to make sure they're not pressing the pedals too hard. Makes sense now, I thought they were just trying to be Chads 😂
