Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is maybe the toughest Metroidvania I've ever played - it's definitely the hardest platformer -- but amazing in later stages.

Prince of Persia was my game of the year. IMO Ubisoft games tend to be super boring but wow they hit a home run on this one. It’s too bad the game didn’t sell well and the dev team that created it was laid off. No hope for sequel :(

I would highly encourage these games to MV fans, as i played them myself and found them to be a lot of fun: - Awaken astral blade (8/10) - Anima flux (7,5/10) - Moonlight pulse (8/10) - Biomorph (8,5/10) - Bo path of the teal lotus (9/10) - Ultros (9,5/10) - Biogun (8,5/10) - Animal well (8/10) - Skelethrone (7/10) - Nine sols (7,5/10) I would also like to add the following metroidvania's not featured on the list that i recommend playing: - Noreya the gold project (9,5/10) - airhead (8,5/10) - venture to the vile (8/10) - ex vitro (7,5/10) DON'T play these games. I played them and they were everything except fun: - Mobius machine (4/10) - Rebel transmute (2/10) I've yet to play these games but they seem incredible and i cannot wait to play them: - Voidwrougth - Kenzera tales of zau - Gestalt steam and cinder - Ender magnolia - Crypt custodian - Prince of persia TLC

Pretty solid list. 25-15 has a few weak ones like the woke Tau or Zau or whatever it is called. But top 15 for sure are all worth checking out.

What's this obsession with people being so obsessed with woke or not woke? The kenzera game was made by a black man who lost his father, and wanted to honour his father. So of course the setting features african themes and characters. How is that woke? By making a big deal out of this you're disrespecting the deceased. Just say you're racist and save yourself the trouble

@@d00mnoodle24 I can already tell by your comment that you are turbo woke which is fine , you are how you are but nobody really cares if they are playing as an African character or not , in fact I wouldn't mind to see their culture if it is well represented . The biggest issue lies in that they were working with a DEI company Sweet Baby Inc which is known to kill everything it touches and this game is no different in that regard . They dug their own grave by working with them and calling gamers racists bigots like you are doing , typical of woke people to do and surprise surprise the gamers rejected it and the sales reflected it as well , also having Denuvo is a big no no for a lot of people so that was another thing that turned people off .

@@sebastiangoller7345 Woke games are flopping for a reason , the gamers reject them wholeheartedly because being woke is usually an indication that it has other issues and it uses it's wokeness as a shield against criticism . We have seen it time and time again how miserably they fail . This game absolutely was woke and it flopped financially , it had less than 300 players at it's peak . Most gamers are straight dudes so the more woke sh!t you put in the game the more they reject it , its just common sense . They are the ones who are the lion's share of the consumers , so when you make games that are not for them surprise surprise it is a financial disaster . The woke crowd that is championing these games on social media actually doesn't buy them , all they do is talk about it and it shows , otherwise these games would be a big commercial success and a way to ,, own the chuds ,, yet it never happens .

I played Biogun, Voidwrought, and Gestalt. I really liked the first two, Gestalt was fine, but it feels like the last hour of the game was left out, it ends on an outrageous cliffhanger.

Silksong, at this point, is just a myth and a mythological game lol 😂 Thankfully we have many good looking metroidvania's to look forward to that are actually coming out like Ender Magnolia..however hopefully Crowsworn comes out before my patience for it runs out lol 😂

The gameplay is way better today. Way smoother. Better control as well. I prefer modern games. Old school graphics with modern gameplay is the best! That’s why I love indie games the most. ✌🏻
