I had a Cyrus CD dAD3 from new in 1998 upgraded with the then PSU and had 12 years of continuous reliable and superb service despite getting house moved 4 times.

Excellent video. I am on my second pair of Focal Utopia headphones, plus Chord HUGO TT2 and M Scaler, all purchased from Hi Fi Corner. Excellent service at all times, but an awfully long way for me to drive from Clevedon, North Somerset, to visit the store!

Good question, and well noticed. The SL 1300 is more of a domestic turntable, therefore no 45 adaptor.

I remember during the first wave of the pandemic John Douglas at Hi-Fi Corner brilliantly helping me out with a Pathos Aurium and a pair of Senn HD800S - getting that 'head-fi' going as we were all indoors and the speaker system not always appropriate!

What a fantastic shop. I bought an Arcam alpha amp and wharfedale speakers around 1992 from hi-fi corner in Glasgow. I still have the alpha 11 amp as I couldn't bear to part with it. I now use mostly Linn and naim equipment but the Arcam comes out occasionally along with a Marantz cd50 se and the mordaunt short speakers that replaced the wharfedales.

They look great. It's definitely worth taking a closer look at them. You're absolutely right about the app though. Technics needs to make some improvements. Maybe they should focus a bit more on the software rather than just on the technical specifications of the hardware.

@@hi-ficorner I already use the Red Ortofon in a Pro-Ject debut carbon. I shall get this turntable for sure but want to move up the range from the red. Have you any thoughts on customers that upgraded? I want to make sure that the direct drive isn't a cheap version of the more expesive models? I could eventually stretch to the 1310GR version but, I do stream alot too. I can see that it's semi-auomatic? What does that mean? Enjoy the show V much

Hi, sorry to bother you. I was thinking of getting a Cambridge audio AXC25 amp and cd player with a pair of Wharfdale diamond 9.0 speakers. Could you tell me if this is a decent set-up please? Only had cheap all-in-one hifi’s before (current one is a sharp). Wanted something better and separates. Musically I’m into metal and classic rock. Cheers 🫡

I've bought a Quad pre/power amp from your online shop and was very happy with the equipment and service provided. Now I'm looking for a reason to come to Edinburgh to see that shop, the best I've ever seen and I've seen a few. I can spend hours looking at HIFI equipment ,especially stuff I'll never be able to afford so you might have trouble getting rid of me😊.

I used to frequent HiFi Corner when it was at the top of Leith, decades ago. It would have been the late 80's when one of the HiFi Corner staff sold me his Kef 105.4. I also remember having a demo of the Tannoy D700 when it was released in that store. Fond memories. The store has certainly came along since it left Elm Row, despite not being in the market for anything I may well pop in one day just to browse.
