Hi @masteraus66 As mentioned in the video, the copper tape works with a physical reaction. Erosion of the protective coating occurs due to chemical reactions and thermal movement of the metal sheet. During these processes, copper salts (copper carbonate, copper sulfate, and copper chloride) are washed away by rain and settle on the elements below the copper line. The salts provide incredibly good protection against mosses and other lichens. This process is 100% natural and environmentally friendly. It’s understandable that you may be anxious to keep your cornice looking immaculate - after all, these mouldings are frequently painted white, so even a modest amount of dirt can be extremely noticeable.
