You need to take the time to comb out your hair and often. Why don't you section off the hair with clamps and comb through each section otherwise the hair becomes tangled and then it is very hard to just comb it. Also use a detangler after washing your hair. I don't know if all of that is your real hair. That might explain why you are not really going to the back side. Good luck. You can also blow dry your tangled hair.

Can I ask what do you use to keep your edges sleek? My hair gets really straight but the edges get curly fast and ruins the whole look for me. All the edge controls have water and really make my edges all curly.
@Ty_Monia28 күн бұрын
I struggle with this as well. Which is why I put the foam on my edges before I straighten my hair. If it reverts, I put foam (sometimes foam and a little Murray’s Pomade) and a scarf on my edges to lay them back down and sometimes I will go over my edges with a flat iron because I don’t mind if they get “heat trained”. I know some girlies like gots to be because they say it doesn’t revert, but I’ve never tried it.

Hello! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!! My favorite hairstyle was the one you initially showed after taking down the 2 braids. I am new to being a straight haired natural. It lasts 2 to 3 wks if I do it and 4 wks if my Stylist does it. What heat protectant did you use prior to flat ironing? I saw the heat protectants used before the blow dry. Do you use Miche foam for edges with every press? I'm so surprised it didn't revert. I say do what works best for you. Summer can be challenging. How do you handle that? Thanks
@Ty_Monia28 күн бұрын
Thank you!! 🥰You like the braid out best? I think I would have loved it if I actually styled it but I was set on straightening it. 🥴 Before I flat iron I used the ORS Thermalast 2 n 1 Heat Defense & Shine Mist. They have a serum as well but it’s too think for me.
@Ty_Monia28 күн бұрын
I use Miche or any foam to just lay my edges down…I do that first or while blow drying. I don’t really use after I straighten unless my hair is very old and I put it up in a ponytail. As far as summer - as long as my ends are trimmed and my hair is moisturized I don’t get frizz. If it’s raining or has rained that day my hair will be in a bun or tied up because the humidity will be too much.

Como vai retirar esses resíduos com esse cabelão ?

After years of being natural, I am seeing that my hair is easier to manage and care for when it is straight. I don't flat iron. I wear a roller-set, which actually does an amazing job of straightening my hair. Once my hair is dry, I hit the roots with a straightening brush (heat not as high as flat iron) and move on. I can keep this style for a long period of time, but work to wash and condition hair weekly or bi-weekly depending on schedule and give my hair a light protein treatment once a month. It just feels so much better than wearing a wash and go and twist outs.
@Ty_Monia28 күн бұрын
It is waaayyy easier to manage. I have blow dried and put the curling rods in my hair and I like the way that looks as well. Do you ever flat iron at all?? I couldn’t imagine never doing it, but definitely understand not wanting to do it often because of the damage.

I feel the same way, sometimes I feel guilty for wanted to do more straight styles, like I’m turning on accepting my blackness but I only want to see my length more, and besides in a way we are honoring ourselves because we are showing how versatile our hair can be. Also, so interesting that they gave you betamethazone. I am an OB nurse and we inject that in moms who give birth before 37 weeks to help baby’s lungs mature faster

Great dandruffs. Do you mind going a little faster and pull the dandruffs through to the end of hair shaft. That way we can see all the flakes vs one from that section scratched and you’re combing the loose flakes out of the hair. It’s your video but hope you will consider bc I see real potential!! Please keep at it!! Thank you!!!

@marilynedmonds3027Ай бұрын
Girl, sorry about your flakes, but you have some beautiful hair and long. You can never comb those flakes through your hair, because it would tire you out and you would not be able to finish the scratching. I hope you gave someone who can help you with your wash. You are doing a nice job getting up the flakes considering the hair you have to contend with.❤
@Ty_MoniaАй бұрын
Thank you so much! 🥰 I typically don’t comb them out during this process (it would pull my hair out), but after I wash and condition I will comb my hair while there is still conditioner in it because it’s easier to comb thru and then I rinse it out really well. That’s typically how the flakes get out of my hair. Thanks for watching!
