You need a man that'll treat you like the woman you are Those little boys are just fooling around with your heart Whatcha gonna do now that you're all alone? You need a rock not a rollin' stone Yeah so when a boy just ain't enough You need a man made of stronger stuff Get ready Rock steady all night long Rock steady till the light of dawn Slow and easy tried and true Rock steady Just me and you You need somebody who will help you with your heavy load Well I've been there baby Lord give me a rock and roll Well I can bend but I won't break cause you ain't got what I can take So when you're tired of those little girls you want a woman that'll rock your world Get ready Rock steady all night long Rock steady till the light of dawn Slow and easy tried and true Rock steady Just me and you Amateurs and dilettantes They can't give you what you really want When all the other have been untrue I'll give you something you can hold on to Rock steady all night long Rock steady till the light of dawn Slow and easy tried and true Rock steady Just me and you

As great as this song is and that these two are together, especially live, somebody needs to mention that unmistakable John Foggerty guitar lick that takes the whole package to the next level of genius perfection!

if this melodious on stage sexual assault between two performers doesn't get your feet to thumpin and your heart to pumpin, the you're comatose with no hope of survival. Two of my all time favorites FACE TO FACE gettin' it on!!...73 now and they make me feel like 33!!

people, in general, think that "popular music" is something that came to be, a million yrs ago. And conventional curiosity, says that the architects of the genre, died in the 1800s or something crazy, like that. And that is so NOT the truth. Is Ruth Brown the woman that created 'pop music'?...no, she's not...not by herself. But she is among, barely a handful of folks who did....and she is the starting point, for the traditional, female r&b and pop singer. She contributed vocal talent, that was in turn, inherited by Aretha and Dionne and Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight and Tina Turner and Etta...those may just seem like names on a piece of paper. But we're talking about a group of 'divas' that made a PROFOUND impact on what we know as 'popular music', which was born out of black gospel, the blues, jazz and 'race music'. But for Ruth Brown, those other divas are not accepted by mainstream music...which happens to be, pop music. Ruth Brown, was a music GIANT...just as relevant as Bessie Smith, Sarah Vaughn, Ella F, Billie Holliday and Dinah Washington.

This is rock at its best and with equality - as a male it is always good to see a female on lead guitar or vocals and particularly leading a band. Bonnie does it for me as does Beth Hart, Susan Tdeschi and Joanne Shaw Taylor also the lesser known Caroline Tarbuck who fronts the First Raitt Band in Bristol England

Damn! I love Bonnie. Super talented, sophisticated lady! An ageless performer. She shares her stage with some truly great musicians with the ease of a backyard jam. This is probably one of my favorites here. Miss Ruth, in my opinion, never lost a beat during her long career and in fact sounded so much better in her older years. She had a rich, strong voice that blows me away. Charles Brown is amazing on the piano as well as vocals.

Bonnie also has a heart of gold she has fought for and supported black artists for decades this tour was right after Bonnie pulled an upset at the Grammys and finally got her long overdue fame look who she brought with her Bonnie is the daughter of the blues she has worked with great blues artists and learned and like a good daughter she takes care of family the way she did Charles and Ruth they both got a lot of work after touring with her!!!
