Hair products produced in China account for approximately 75% of the global export volume. Most of the raw human hair materials are imported from countries such as India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Tunisia, with India and Pakistan being the largest suppliers. The quality of human hair varies depending on the place of origin: Indian Hair: Abundant and the cheapest option. It is soft, fluffy, and fine, often with natural small waves or curls. However, it is not suitable for bleaching or heavy processing, offering limited versatility. Chinese Hair: Coarser and thicker, with lower curliness. It can be processed and bleached after treatment. European Hair: Softer in texture and not suitable for bleaching or heavy processing, but it closely matches the preferences of the local consumer market. Due to the limited availability of raw materials, it is currently the most expensive option. Russian Hair: Hair color aligns well with market demands, and the quality is superior to European hair. However, it is rare and also priced at a premium.

In addition to origin, the source of hair collection also determines quality grades. For instance, hair cut directly from an individual’s head is collectively referred to as raw hair, while hair collected from salons belongs to lower-grade categories, called floor hair. Raw hair undergoes minimal processing, with very little use of chemical agents. It retains the hair’s natural cuticles and can last 3-5 years with proper care. Among floor hair, relatively better-quality strands are selected and processed using machines to align the cuticle direction. This process is mostly physical, with minimal use of chemical agents. The finished products can achieve good quality, lasting up to 8 months even longer, and offer excellent cost-effectiveness. The leftover hair from floor hair, as well as hair remaining from the cuticle processing stage, undergoes acid treatment to dissolve the cuticles, followed by an alkaline process to neutralize the pH. After multiple steps, the finished products are typically in natural colors, such as 1B or other shades of black. These appear very shiny (due to silicone coating) and feel extremely soft (because of the lack of cuticles). However, after a few washes, the silicone coating washes off, leaving the hair dull and prone to tangling, usually lasting up to about 5 months

Nothing will work. You can try all this and more but it's not going to work, it will only mask the smells it will come back when you're in a steamy shower

THIS WORKS! I washed and conditioned my bundles with my normal shampoo and conditioner and they still stank! I found this video and I used the Dr. Bronners hemp almond Castile soap, it was the only scent I had on hand. After the first wash I noticed a huge difference. THANK YOU!

So what is Virgin unprocessed hair? I just purchased curly virgin unprocessed hair from Asteriahair. So what does that mean? I’m scared 😱 lol

In the past, "Virgin Unprocessed Hair" represented the highest grade of hair. However, many sellers now market their hair as "virgin hair," even when it's acid-processed hair, falsely claiming it as virgin. As a result, the term "Raw Hair" is now used to refer to hair cut directly from a donor's head. This type of hair is extremely expensive, currently priced at over $600. I'm not sure about your purchasing price, but "Virgin Unprocessed Hair" is often the highest-quality tier of floor hair with aligned cuticles and can last nearly a year. On the other hand, the hair sold on Amazon as "100% human hair" is typically the lowest-quality acid-processed hair. Some of these products even mix in protein fibers, meaning they can't even guarantee being 100% human hair.

Don't by the deep curly it is hard to detangle. I bought 32 inches and had to cut it down to a 16. It is definitely real hair but my only experience is with their deep curly and I cried

I used a shea moisture deep conditioner and it is just as fine.
