You made it look it impressive but it's an irresponsible way of launching and retrieving the boat because using the engine to assist trailering erodes the ramp bed, can lead to debris being sucked into the engine, and can cause an accident! If you have don't boat test or licensing, you will find that is one of the test and not recommended to drive your boat to the trailer.

Ive had feedback from a couple of guys with fish farming experience, a couple of things that came up were that it maybe better if the eggs and sperm where mixed before the sea water makes contact and also that ideally the eggs would be a bit more mature. Worth a shot but hard to know hpw successful it was on that day?

Hi Kevin, it was the 6.9m but I think it had slightly more beam than 2.4m. I now own a 7.9 x 2.7m and have 2x 115hp on that. The best people to ask are Cheetha themselves, you can google them for contact details and they will be more than happy to help mate.

Great video.. although the guy with his rod constantly sat between his legs makes me feel slightly uncomfortable Haha. When going 40 miles offshore do you try them pot luck or do you have a way of looking to see which is most likely going to hold fish, like using wrecksiteeu. Thanks
@mattforrestersilverhalocha6294 жыл бұрын
I use that site but you need a bit more knowledge really. Best way is to get the experience and do a few charter trips. Quite usually smaller broken up wrecks are better on smaller tides and taller ones can fish better when the tide rips.
@daleprice47324 жыл бұрын
@@mattforrestersilverhalocha629 yes I fish wrecks upto 30 mile on our boat but they do get hammered a fair bit by charter boats, they dont really go any further tho so been interested in taking a trip out. Just didn't want to waste a long journey to find it's a poor wreck. I will check on wrecksite to see if its wooden or steel to make sure there will be a decent structure still there. Thanks for the advice

How do you find towing and launching the 175 with the Transporter and what engine/drivetrain is it? (edit: I guess this is a did question looking at your other vids)
@mattforrestersilverhalocha6294 жыл бұрын
Hi Louis, the VW is fine. Front wheel drive 2.0 litre turbo diesel with 140 bhp. Can spin up on the slipway though so not ideal if its weedy or a very low tide.
@hammerz734 жыл бұрын
@@mattforrestersilverhalocha629 Thanks for the reply, I've the equivalent T6 and I'm thinking of a 165, so a little lighter. I'll be sure to exercise caution and common sense on the slip. PS. I liked the music! :)

Hi mate awesome video! I have question how much it cost to have a boat and what do you need to have? Any licence or permits to fish the sea?
@I.have.an.std.4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t spend less then a 2 grand for a decent boat. Are old boat was 300£ and was total crap. We got a new one for 6k much better! You might want a rod license but I seriously doubt anyone will be checking for them 20 miles out to sea.

hi bud good vid, any hassle towing her with the t5?
@mattforrestersilverhalocha6296 жыл бұрын
p o callaghan hi there. The T5 140hp is fine with a 175 with a braked trialer. Id defo recommend keeping the back of the boat as light as possible. Any tackle or fuel tanks should be kept in the back of the T5 or the front of the boat. Extra weight far back will get it weaving...especially going down hill! All in all its pretty ok. I have Ranger 3.2 Auto now and its worlds apart. I even tow my new 7.9m cheetah with it, thats 3.5 tonne with the trailer!

Hi Matt do you use a leader on your slow jigging rods,mono or flurocarbon and how long cheers
@mattforrestersilverhalocha6296 жыл бұрын
kevin osman hi Kevin. Yes I use a flouro leader of between 20 to 30lb depending on where Im fishing. Typically this would only need to be about 5foot but as I do a lot of wrecking and some are quite tall, its better to go longer. I use about 8-10 foot to help avoid cut offs on the wreckage. In this video a fish does take me into the wreck and I loose it. Can be tricky with light gear and a short rod but its fun.
@kevinosman90976 жыл бұрын

Ive already been to roxmax as I'm in Hampshire and no other takle shops cater for any type of jigging and I really don't no why I'm always out in my boat wrecking using traditional methods but slow and fast jigging is something I always do abroad and it really does catch most of the fish If your ever down my way give me a shout on the radio I'm highlander and when I'm down your way next time I will come out with you
