No place in football for racism. Noticed not a single black or Asian player in any of your team pictures, just like today. Disgusting man

I love hearing about clubs that are founded because players genuinely love playing football, not how much money they make. What a success its been, the National League already, 1 more league to go!

Looks like Dorking FC (over 130 years old) who they were about to groundshare with folded as there were delays getting the new stadium ready. Dorking Wanderers are now in the top division of the non-league pyramid.

Sitting here at home on Spain's north coast, My mind's taken back almost 70 years to seeing my first Dorking match at their then ground of Pixham Lane. I remember the Meadowbank ground being inaugurasted by Walter Winterbottom and being the general factotem of the reserves for a couple of years and always remembering to take a pair of boots in case we could only muster up 10 players. I even managed to score once at Hertford and to be on the winning team at Wembley (Vs Wembley F.C. reserves). Those were the days.

Absolutely, bloody brilliant what you have achieved. I went to my first DW game today and we lost despite being on a tremendous run of form. Blame me! I'm a lifelong Pompey fan so, although having lived in Dorking for 26 years I'd never really got into the local non-league scene. But the DW story is impossible to ignore. My son caught the bug first and now i've joined him. Really enjoyed the ground, the atmosphere and our dapper manager. Onwards and upwards!

I was a Pompey supporter but non league football is so much more enjoyable. Dorking is a great club I started supporting this season now they've moved into town so being I come from Haslemere and don't drive it's much more accessible by train and bus. If you start supporting you local club I think your find it far more beneficial and enjoyable than someone thirty or so miles away. I know I do.
@Dionysos6405 жыл бұрын
@@raymondoakford8357 Thanks Raymond, I'll always be a Pompey fan, it's in my DNA and I'll be at Wembley at the end of March. But I do now feel I really am a DW fan too. Never thought it was possible to support two teams, but it turns out that it is! :)

I also played in a game once in the Hampshire Cup when the referee shit himself. Only difference was in our game the referee quite literally shit himself. Not through fear but the result of ten pints and a curry the night before. .... He continued through the whole 90 mins!
